The Committee considered the proposal anddecided to give priority to the purchase of itemNo.5.4 as that '",:illcover some of the experiments,which could be performed on this trainer.

The Committee considered the proposal andapproved the purchase of the same from MJSTriangle Simulation Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, Subjectto the following observations.

1. Detailed utilization plan clearly indicat'lng theno. of Students and the faculty membersusing the equipment be put up.

2. Reasonability of the rates may be verifiedfrom other sources and a certificate of leastprices may also be obtained from thesupplier.

3. The supplier be asked to supply the computersystem, other peripherals and software's ofnot less than P-Il 3001350 MHz RAM 32 MBhard djsk 4.3.GB,.

The Committee considered the proposal anddecided as under.

1. TIle supplier Mls Traingle Simulation Pvt.Ltd. may be asked to supply the equipment atthe lowest rates as given by-one of the oilierquotee, which could not conforming to NIT.

2. Reasonability of the rates may also beverified from other sources, It was alsodesired that tile rates may also be verifiedfrom tile deptt. of Chemical Engg. university,Chandigarh, who hrve purchase the sameSystem to the recent past as pointed out by of

Purchase of Bubble Cap Distilatioh(Computerized)for Mass Transfer Lab. ofChemical Engg, Dcptt.The proposal was discussed. Since, the industry isgoing to change over to the better Technology,therefore, it was resolved that the purchase of thesaid equipment be dropped in view of paucity offunds, Moreover, the college has also put up theproposal for the purchase of Sieve PlateDistillation (Computerized) Vide item NoS 7with that better technology.

Purchase of Sieve Plate Distillati m(Computerized) for Mass Transfer Lab. ofChemical Engg, Deptt.

TIle committee considered the proposal anddecided that.L It should be clearly mentioned that the offer

is as per specifications or not. ,2. TIle negotiations be carried out with the

'supplier from whom the purchase has beenrecommended, Since, there is dilIerence ofRs. LOO Lac therefore, detailed proposal beput up separately for the approval ofchairperson , BOG clearly indicating thedeviation points of the oilier tenderers,

3. The specifications of the Computer systemmay also be got upgraded from the supplier.

4. The committee in principle approved thepurchase of one Sieve Plate Distillation(Computerized) setup.

As decided by the Equipment and StorePurchase Committee for the negotiation withsupplier but the supplier refused to reduce toprice of equipment and agreed to supply theequipment on F.o.R Prices at Gurdaspur withupgraded specifications within quoted prices asdesired by the committee. The purchase orequipment has been approved by the Hou'blcMinister for Technical Training Punjab, Thesupply order was placed and delivery isexpected shortly.

Purchase of PID controller Trainer out of theMODROBS sanctioned by the AICTE.

TIle committee .considered the proposal andapproved the purchase from Mls TriangleSimulaltion Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai, subject tocondition that the supplier may be asked to supplythe computer with the upgraded specifications as .mentioned above at item. 5.4.

ITEM NO.5.9.

Purchase of Spray Drier for Mass TransferLab. of Chemical Engg. Department.

The Committee considered' the prqpo~al anddecided that the supplier Mls RC.G. Instruments,Pune be asked to supply the equipment at thelowest rates as quoted by the another supplier,who has refused to accept the terms andconditions of the college for suppl~he __equipment.

The Equipment stand received with upgradedspecifications within quoted price and used forpractical training of the students.

As, decided by the equipment and storepurchase committee, the party has agreed tosupply the equipment on lowest rates as quotedby the other supplier. The purchase ofequipment has been approved by Hon 'bleMinister of Technical Education & IndustrialTraining (Pb). The supply order was placedand cancelled due to discontinued theproduction of this equipment by tile supplier.

Tender Notice No. 1199-2000 under category-C was floated in the following leadingnewspapers of the country.

1. The Tribune, Chandigarh,2. The Times oflndia, New Delhi.3. The Hindustan Times New Delhi.

Copy of the Tender Notice is available at Annexure-B(page-5).

The above tender bids were opened by the College Committee on the due date andtime i.e. 30-12-99 at 3 P.M. in the presence oftepresentatives from tenderers. All thetender bids have been evaluated by the department and comparative statement isavailable at Annexure-C(Page-6). The purchase of equipment has beenrecommended from Mls Electronics Corporation oflndia Ltd., New Delhi.(AGovernment of India Enterprises), whose offer has been found as per N.J.T.copiesof the tender specifications and offer from Mls Electronics corporation of India Ltd.,New Delhi is pl~d~nexure:D(Pages 7-1 l).
