When videoconference falls short The digital revolution is changing the way people work and do business worldwide. Massive telecom investments are allowing increasingly higher amounts of bandwidth to be affordably available and virtual collaboration is now possible thanks to latest developments in videoconferencing technology. Cloudbased solutions can now bring the videoconference ports to all form factors ranging from mobile devices, the corporate boardroom and your own living room. Yet, most videoconferencebased collaboration fall short of actually accomplishing indepth brainstorming and group discussions that are necessary for optimal group decision making.

Videoconferencebased collaboration is ideal for making individual contributions more effective, especially from those persons that participate from a distance. In a videoenabled room, participants can show diagrams and bounce ideas, so that the meeting host captures different opinions from the participants to make a decision but the conclusion of the work takes place elsewhere after the meeting is over.

Most meetings require active involvement of participants to produce a joint decision making or a joint recommendation. With MeetingSphere™ software you can actually do this work collectively while during the meeting. An instant report is produced at the end of the meeting and the work is concluded as everybody leaves the room.

Fighting group think Groupthink is a phenomenon that occurs in decision making groups that seek to eliminate conflict entirely. In an attempt to escape the frustrations of lengthy arguments or the embarrassment of being the squeaky wheel, individual members avoid promoting ideas that are beyond the realm of the generally accepted norm. Groups with one particularly respected or vocal member are very susceptible to this behavior as members inevitably begin to agree with this influential leader. It’s great to have positive reinforcement and agreements within the group, but not at the expense of critical thinking, creativity and ultimately, quality. As groupthink increases, the quality and diversity of the ideas being presented sharply decreases. MeetingSphere™ is designed to avoid groupthink in meetings.

Mind mapping conversion You may be addicted to visual thinking tools and would like your MeetingSphere™ content to be exported to a Mindmanager™ map. We can provide an additional tool that converts the outcome of your anonymous brainstorming sessions to any mind mapping software capable of importing data from an Excel™ file.

About our training approach Our MeetingSphere™ training programs are flexible and versatile. After many years of practice training hundreds of practitioners and consultants we figure that by specializing our training courses in each of the MeetingSphere tools we would be more effective in making our customers to succeed in becoming professional users of the whole platform. Once you learn how to use one tool well, you would be ready to hosting meetings and you would be much more confident to discover how to use the other companion tools on your own. As you experiment with the other tools you will see that the basic functioning of the platform is the same. However we also offer short modular courses to cover all of MeetingSphere™ tools in theory and in practice.
