DESCRIPTION

Sunda Straits Bridge was planned since 1960. This project need cooperation many expert from many engineering discipline and worthy finance strength. What we should be planning, scheduling, praying, implementing the project and the grace of God, peace transparent sea water medium. Sunda Strait Bridge, bridge as media hub natural sources, human resources, transportation, fiber optics and marine traffic. The challenge to build bridge with the most dangerous vulcano what made this continue island become separate two. Huge eruption and tsunami destroy civilization around this volcano and other continent. The planned Sunda Strait bridge will cross at least 29 kilo metres (18 miles) between the country's two most populous islands, Java and Sumatra, and pass at its closest point a mere 50 kilo metres from the still-active Krakatau volcano. We hope with friendship collaboration with marine country we make peace and better world. Tsunami 9 richter in Aceh made Nangroe Aceh Darussalam. Assalam Tsunami Krakatau made peace in the world.

The bridge was designed with a two hinged stiffening girder system, allowing the structure to withstand winds of 286 kilometres per hour (178 mph),

earthquakes measuring to 8.5 on the Richter scale, and harsh sea currents. The bridge also contains pendulums that are designed

to operate at the resonance frequency of the bridge to dampen forces.

“In the world's most complicated sea environment, with one of the three biggest tides on Earth,

the effect of typhoons and the difficult content of the sea soil."

Because of the many difficulties facing such a tremendous build, almost 600 experts spent nearly a decade designing the bridge.

Because the bridge is situated in a known seismically active region, a seismic design of the substructure was adopted. At 12.3 km long with a main cable

stayed span of 800m the new Incheon Bridge will be one of the five longest of its type in the world.

Its 33.4m wide steel/concrete composite deck will carry six lanes of traffic 74m above the main shipping route in and out of Incheon port

The project's greatest challenge is the fact that the strait lies in one of the world's most dangerous earthquake zones.

Sumatra is frequently rocked by significant tremors and more than 230,000 people were killed when a 9.0-magnitude quake in December 2004 triggered a tsunami.

Many active volcanoes lie in the area, including Krakatoa only 40km away,

David Keys, Ken Wohletz, and others have postulated that a violent volcanic eruption, possibly of Krakatoa, in 535 may have been responsible for the global climate changes of 535-536.

The Last Day26-27 Agustus 1883 Eruption of Krakatau-According to the official records of the Dutch East Indies colony, 165 villages and towns were destroyed near Krakatoa, and 132 were seriously damaged. At least 36,417 people died, and many more thousands were injured, mostly from the tsunamis that followed the explosion. The eruption destroyed two-thirds of the island of Krakatoa.

On August 27 a series of four huge explosions almost entirely destroyed the island. The explosions were so violent that they were heard 3,110 km (1,930 mi) away in Perth, Western Australia and the island of Rodrigues near Mauritius, 4,800 km (3,000 mi) away.[4] The pressure wave from the final explosion was recorded on barographs around the world, which continued to register it up to 5 days after the explosion. The recordings show that the shock wave from the final explosion reverberated around the globe seven times.

The explosion of the Krakatau Volcano in Indonesia on August 27, 1883, generated a 30 meter tsunami in the Sunda Strait which killed about 36,000 people. It also caused an atmospheric pressure wave that was recorded on the tide gauges at remote locations including South Georgia Island, Panama, France, England, Alaska, Hawaii, and San Francisco.
