• Functional genre: Events music.

• Cinematographic genre: Motion picture music.

MUSICAL GENRESThere are many types of music, we listen to music many times a day even if we don’t do it with consciousness, so we have to classify this music in different groups, this groups are called genres, genres classify music depending on similar characteristics or on their functions.

VOCAL GENRE

Vocal music is a genre of music performed by one or more singers, with or without instrumental accompaniment, in which singing provides the main focus of the piece.

Music without any non-vocal instrumental accompaniment is referred to as a cappella.

Religious music or sacred music, is music performed or composed for religious use or through religious influence. Ritual music is music, sacred or not, performed or composed for or as ritual. There are different types of religious music:

Some times is more famous the soundtrack than the film.

THEATRE GENRE

STAGE MUSIC:

Music used to express feelings or emotions through it, normally it is classical music but not always.

Ex: Ballet

ADVERTISING GENRE

ADVERTASING MUSIC:

It is used in TV and radio ads an it has the same purpose as cinematographic music, to make people be more attentive in whatever you are watching.
