Media Film Treatment (first draft) In the 1950, gang crim was at its highest, with violence and rebellion people started to come together to commit crimes . The film starts with Charlie a police officer that is put up for a job to go undercover to try and revile one of the most notorious gang in South London. Charlie is known to be a shy and concealed man, ever since his father left him when he was 12, being brought up by his single mother during this time was hard. When coming up with different plots and plans to try and discover the gang, he find himself breaking up an argument between too men on the back streets of London. While this is happening Charlie recognises one of the men from the gang. The man notices Charlie’s strength, resulting in him asking him to go for a drink. While in a nitty gritty pub in south London the two men begin to talk, when all of a sudden, a couple of men from east London turn up to try and started a fist fight with the man Charlie was with, Charlie saw this as an opportunity to get closer to the gang so decided to help the man by fighting of the other gang members. After the left the pub the man made it clear to Charlie that he wanted to introduce him to someone. After driving around for about 45 mins they finally pulled up to an estate next to the river. Charlie had no clue where he was but weirdly left comfortable. He goes into a house where there is an couple of men, he then find himself face to face with the leader of the gang, while the man is introducing Charlie and telling him about the fight, Charlie begins to relies something recognisable about the leader. It’s his father. Charlie confronts him in anger and rage while his dad pushes him into another room. The man questions Charlie on why he is there and Charlie questions him on the gang and why he left, after a while of talking the leader then asked Charlie if he wanted the join him. Charlie agrees to join as a way to expose the gang, and to finish the undercover plans with the police force. Charlie begins to get caught up in the gang wanting becoming more and more involved in the crime and violence, be begins to work close with father and helping him plan bigger jobs. Charlie began to stop reporting back to the office and the police force start to get worried that he is not following the task.

Charlie has now decided to stop going undercover and actually become a part of his father’s gang. Charlie now feels like he found a place that has accepted him and where he feels most comfortable by the father’s side. However one night their house gets raided by the police force and Charlie gets caught for all the crims that he committed. His father and the rest of the gang find out that Charlie is an ex police officer and while on bail Charlie get disown by the gang and his father due to the fact that they still think he is a undercover police officer. Charlie decides he go through with an attack on the east gang that him and his father where planning. He meets the east end gang on the other side of the river on his own, he then palls out a gun to shoot the member, then from behind there is a gunshot straight into Charlies back.
