How did you attract/address your audience?

I have tried to make my magazine look as professional as possible, I have used a combination of Vibe, XXL and Q magazine’s ideas to create my magazine.

The thing which stands out the most is the headline, I have edited it on Photoshop by firstly putting a red box around it, then embossed it and erased it from the “hip” this effect makes the headline stand out even more attracting the reader to the magazine.

The most unique feature of the magazine is the model, I think that the use of a female model would attract a wider audience, I have also edited the image by using the air brush technique to give the model a more “fake” look.The models clothes should also attract the audience because if they are interested in hip hop fashion then they should recognize the brand “obey”

I have also used a variety of fonts, that the audience should find attractive, for example “miss cee” is written in a graffiti font. Graffiti is often associated with hip hop

I think that the layout I’ve used is also astatically pleasing because of it’s simplicity. On the contents page I have tried to add lot’s of content but keep it organized and easy to understand. I think that this is important for the readers because they will have more interest in the magazine if they understand it.

I have decided that the color scheme of red black and white is the most suitable as the red will stand out and can be used to highlight the most important aspects of the page.

Lastly I think that the props I have used will attract the audience because they will be able to recognize the reference if they knew anything about hip hop, for example the bandana tied around the head is a trade mark of one of the greatest hip hop artists Tupac. I think that this will attract customers because they will be able to relate to the knowledge they already have about hip hop.
