The text used in my double page spread is in font size 10, I am glad that I used this size because it looks very small and more professional as I am able to fit more of my article

on the page.

On my front cover, the reader is first drawn to the main image on the page, closely followed by the masthead. I have done this to ensure that my magazine name is

remembered and so that the audience is attracted to read the rest of my magazine by the main image.

My house style of pink, blue, gray and black and white is effective in attracting my target audience as the colours work well together and catch the eye of the potential

reader. I used these colours throughout my magazine to create a sense of rhythm and flow.

I feel that my Images and text worked well together as they linked in the way that they are both musically based.

LanguageThroughout my magazine, I have used informal language

often referred to as ‘Magazine speak’ such as “Back on the scene” and “Bring on the solo career”, this allows my target

audience to feel relaxed and calm.

In order to attract my target audience I used language that is ‘youthful’ and regarded as ‘cool’ so that they feel

comfortable and at ease when reading my magazine, for example “I’m doing it all for me now.” and “Haters will hate.”

This is relatable to my target audience as they are stereotypically selfish and rebellious.

Brand

My aim, when creating this music magazine, was to create a sense of belonging for my target audience. It is a magazine that allows like-minded people to interact

and share their views and thoughts on the genre of music that they both like. My magazine is almost like a

‘lifestyle-guide’ for the youth of today, it is a trustworthy guide and is a place for teenagers to make a stand. I think that teenagers / young adults need this

kind of support in their lives and I feel that my magazine accomplishes this.
