Patient-centricity in healthcare.
Healthcare is associated with high cost: Drug discovery research,
hospital expenditures. When something is expensive it should
deliver high value. With a stronger focus on the patient and his/
her health, costs could be balanced with customer value.

What if?
What if you came to a hospital with a broken leg? After being
successfully diagnosed you would end up lying in your bed
waiting for surgery. Probably you would take your smartphone
and write your family and friends everything is ok. You would then
proceed listening to music, watching some videos or browsing
social networks.
What if?
What if you could get access to high quality information about
your fracture, the surgery and how other patients that
experienced the same treatment felt about it: Videos, text,
animated graphics?
What if you could share these Information with your family?
What if your healthcare provider would provide you with a tablet
computer for those purposes in cooperation with a
pharmaceutical company.
The deal.
Here is the deal: You will get premium quality medical information
for giving feedback on how you feel, what you like and where you
see room for improvement. This anonymized real-time information
can then be used to build a healthcare provider service offering
precisely tailored to the patients (and relatives) needs.
Here is the deal: We want your personal data. How are you? How do you feel about our service. Where can we improve? We would love to hear your opinion. Please help us to get better!
If you want to, you can also obtain easy to understand medical information on your disease or surgery and find out what other patients say about their experience with our treatment.

Implementation: Every player wins.
• Healthcare providers / hospitals obtain real-time patient
information. With these information they can provide better
service to patients at no additional costs. They can achieve this
by allocating budget to services with the highest potential to
meet patients demands.
• Pharmaceutical companies can improve their reputation by
sponsoring the app or e.g. branded rental iPads for patients.
They would demonstrate, that they care about patients / end
customers needs. Improved reputation in society might even
facilitate future negotiations with public health insurance funds.
Implementation: Every player wins.
• Health insurance funds benefit by improved satisfaction of their
direct customers.
• And finally: Patients benefit from a better healthcare service
enabled by a concerted effort of all three players mentioned
above.
