PRODUCT BRIEF

Kopnolia is the trade name for Synthetic Magnolol indigenously developed by KOPL as a potent antioxidant for skin

care topical formulations. Kopnolia (Magnalol) is 5,5’-Diallyl-2,2’-biphenyldiol, a biphenyl structure containing two

allyl groups beneficial for increasing the affinity towards endothelial cells. It is known to possess some special abilities

like, it inhibits NF-kB pathway [1], NADPH oxidase [2], and activates the retinoid receptor [3], glutathione-S-

transferase, and other anti-oxidative enzymes [4]. It acts as antioxidant to suppress the oxidation of low-density

lipoprotein [5] because of high radical-scavenging activities [6].

Kopnolia can be used in crème, lotion, and serum formulation to protect skin against chronic inflammation and

reduction of skin redness. As it is capable to inhibit NF-kB pathway, it plays a very major role in neutralizing internal

aging factors. KOPL has studied the antioxidant properties of Kopnolia and Kopnolia crème comparing with other

antioxidants(Complete data available on request)
