MRI

The MedCross Imaging is proud to offer patients and physicians GE 1.5T High-Field MRI.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses magnetism and radio waves to produce remarkably clear pictures of your head, spine, or other parts of your body. An MRI scanner consists of a strong magnet with a radio transmitter and receiver used to gather information from inside your body. MRI produces soft-tissue images and is used to distinguish normal, healthy soft tissue from pathologic tissue.

CT Scan

Computed tomography – more commonly referred to as CT, CT scan or CAT scan – uses x-rays and advanced computer technology to generate detailed cross-sectional, and if needed, three-dimensional views of the body’s internal organs and body structures. CT scans are used to identify normal and abnormal body structures, as well as guide procedures. The exam is painless.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging, also called ultrasound scanning or sonography, involves exposing part of the body to high-frequency sound waves to produce pictures of the inside of the body. Ultrasound exams do not use ionizing radiation (x-ray). Because ultrasound images are captured in real-time, they can show the structure and movement of the body’s internal organs, as well as blood flowing through blood vessels.

Radiology

Bone Density

Bone densitometry, using an advanced technology called DEXA (short for dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry), safely, accurately and painlessly measures bone mineral density. Bone densitometers with an additional capability called Instant Vertebral Assessment TM or IVA, may also produce an x-ray of the entire spine for the assessment of vertebral (spine) fractures.

X-Ray

X-ray examinations provide valuable information about your health and play an important role in helping your doctor make an accurate diagnosis. In some cases x-rays are used to assist with the placement of tubes or other devices in the body or with other therapeutic procedures.
