education and writing programmes. Ryan is

conversant in the latest ethical guidelines,

serves on the European Committee for the

International Society for Medical Publication

Professionals (ISMPP), and is a Certified

Medical Publication Professional (CMPP).

Rick Flemming –Scientific Director

Rick is an experienced medical writing

professional who has spent the past

decade working in, or for international

medical communications agencies. During

this time, Rick has helped deliver

publications and medical education

initiatives across a diverse range of therapy

areas. His commitment to editorial

excellence and publications best practice is

absolute, and he takes great pride in

ensuring all members of our writing team

also achieve these high standards. Rick is

a PhD-educated scientist, CMPP certified,

and is a member of ISMPP.

Philippa Flemming –Medical Writer

Philippa has been a medical writer for 3

years. She received her PhD in molecular

physiology from the University of Leeds

and previously worked as an Innovation

and Technology Manager for the UK

National Health Service. Philippa uses the

scientific skills and knowledge she

developed in academia to add real value

to many of our deliverables. Philippa

recently co-authored a peer-reviewed

publication summarising the proceedings

from the fifth annual meeting of the

European CME Forum and she also

attended the 2013 meeting.
