Dear friends,
It gives me immense pleasure to invite you for the second edition of OBESICON, first off its kind conference focusing on multimodality management of obesity. Considering the overwhelming response last year from physicians and dieticians, we also plan to cover the recent updates in the field along with the basic principles. The program is Structure for physicians, surgeons, gynaecologists, dieticians, physiotherapists and all others interested in the management of obesity.
India is already facing the burden of communicable diseases and we are further burdened with non- communicable diseases which is taking a heavy toll on the economy of the country. Obesity and related lifestyle disorders like diabetes, hypertension, cardiac treatments, menstrual irregularities etc are not only on the rise but already escalated to alarming proportions, leading to poor quality of life.
With management of obesity not being in the curriculum of medical education, we aim to consolidate the existing scientific literature together useful to every practitioner interested in obesity.
Welcome you all for academic feast!
