introduction Bullying is intimidating or subjecting a person
to hostility or ill treatment. Involves actions which cause another person to
feel afraid, humiliated , embarrassed,threatened or shamed.
Occurs in a relationship in which there is an imbalance power.
Is repeated over time this bully.
Bullying happen four way Verbal: teasing, jokes, ignoring/isolation ,
gossip , threat. Physical: blocking someone’s path , physical
restraints, pushing, kicking. sexual: teasing, touching, slapping, picture, e-
mail, graffiti, sexual assault. Property: hiding belongings, theft, arson,
vandalism, destruction.
For the target Bullying is a “loss” experience
Loss of safety Loss of self-esteem Loss of belonging Loss of control over their own life
Effect of Bullying on the target

Contributing factor associated with Bullying
Family factors:1.lack of attention and warmth.2. modelling of aggressive behaviour at home.3. poor supervision.
Individual factors:1.active, impulsive personally2.lack of empathy for other3. craves attention and approval from others.
School1. School climate is perceived as uncaring or indifferent 2. teacher/ staff unaware or unclear of bullying definitions or how to respond.
Recommendation for Bullying at school
warning: verbal and written permanently documented
Coaching/ Intervention1. anger management, conflict resolution, communication,problem solving skill, diversity training during Saturday school before or after school detention.2. may be provided by administrations, teaching, counsellorschool psychologist or school resources officers.
Suspension / Expulsion Referral to Law Enforcement (if applicable)
Conclusion Bullying should not be taken lightly because if
the symptom is not checked, it will have adverse effects on the development of the country. So the commitment of all parties, teachers, parents or students themselves to ensure that the school being a knowledge institution and not a place to give birth thugs or bullies.
