Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) established in 1946, currently has 1700 beds and expansion of 700 beds expected soon (DMCH 2). Currently everything related to hospital management is done manually. Introduction of computerized system will increase efficiency and quality of health care services to be provided by the hospital. It is noted that the hospital is the largest in the country having number of departments. But considering importance and patient flow, Gynae & Obs OPD (Out Patient Department) has been selected for piloting. Daily patient turnover in Gynae/Obs OPD is 200-250.

To demonstrate a model of automated system to – Monitor Doctor’s prescriptionsEnsure optimum utilization of drugs available in storeDiagnose based on ICD9/10Contribute to total Hospital Drugs Inventory Management System track the rational use of drug in the OPD (Gynae and Obs)
