Meditation is a process is to one’s own SELF.
It’s a journey to Self-Realisation. Meditation is the ultimate revealer
of who you really are, and what you truly are.
You can discover an inner guidance within yourself.
Meditation involves concentrating on something to take our attention beyond the random thought activity that is usually going on in our heads. This can involve a solid object or picture, a mantra(for e.g Gayatri Mantra), breath, or guided visualization.
In Passive Meditation the person meditating uses thoughts and imagery in a proactive way to stimulate alpha brain waves activity and to keep the conscious mind busy.Step 1: Watch the In BreathStep 2: Watch the Gap That FollowsStep 3: Watch the Out BreathStep 4: Watch the Gap That FollowsStep 5: Counting In Breaths
PassiveMeditations
In Active Meditation-Its a type of guided meditation, because you are listening to the guide's voice, following suggestions, and using your mind, keeping it busy, it is much easier to enter the alpha state. As Mind, body is relaxed so starting from alpha state, its easy to enter subconscious level, with through practise can reach to the super conscious mind.
This can be done either through mantra, music, guided voice.
Active Meditations

When first learning meditation it is usually not possible to meditate for more than 10-15 minutes. After regular practice for awhile, one becomes able to meditate for longer periods of time. Many people meditate twice-daily for 20-30 minutes each time, but the right duration and frequency is for each individual to decide.
Also Depending on the age, on should meditate if possible.
1. First, there are different types of meditation and not every type would be suitable for everyone. For example, Budhhist Vipassana meditation is very difficult practice for extrovert types, A type personality or hyperactive people.
2. Second, in meditation you connect to your internal space and depending on what you stored in your internal space meditation may release emotional and mental blockages, from abuse and traumatic images to unprocessed anxiety, grief or anger.
3. Excess energy created in Meditation for hours can create anger, anxiety, irritation if not channelized properly(It can be done healing mother earth, self healing or others healing) or doing physical exercise life yoga, pranayam
