Case of A Solitary Gallstone

Completely Dissolved with HOMEOPATHY

A 20-year-old boy from Faizabad came with mild pain in right upper

abdominal region with flatulence and distension of abdomen since four days.

His important symptoms were:

• Pain in abdomen better by pressure

• He had similar attack of pain 1 month ago

• Patient was diagnosed with gallstones on the basis of ultrasonography of

abdomen.

Initial Investigation Reports:

• Initial Ultrasonography Report showed that gallbladder was

partially filled with fluid along with a single 1 cm (10 mm)

size stone. Gallbladder wall was 4 mm thick.

• Liver function tests showed:

SGPT: 59.15↑ SGOT: 51.46↑ S. Alk. Phos.: 296↑ S. Bilirubin: 0.69 (Normal)

Mental State

• He narrated that he didn’t make friends easily.

• He was quite reserved by nature and would get offended easily if

someone criticized or scolded him.

• He would feel better by consolation.

• He was upset and depressed because he couldn’t secure admission in the

college of his liking since his marks were not up to the mark.

• He had a strong liking for sweets and chocolates

• He was more comfortable in cold weather than in summer.

Treatment Given:

• Pulsatilla 30, three doses every 10 minutes once a week

• Chelidonium mother tincture 10 drops thrice a day in half cup of water

for 4 weeks.

• Dioscorea 30 to be taken during acute pain.

Results Obtained:

• There was only one mild pain episode reported during that period.

• The treatment was continued with the addition of Cinchona mother tincture.

• The patient was advised to repeat Liver Function Tests.

• Liver function tests showed:

SGPT: 38.4 ↓ SGOT: 48.6 ↓ S. Alk. Phos.: 208.7 ↓ S. Bilirubin: 0.82 (Normal)

Thus, Liver Function Tests returned back to normal limits.

• Patient was advised to get ultrasonography on next visit.

• After 4 months, ultrasonography reports showed gallbladder was not distended. It

was normal in shape, position and outline. No calculus or mass lesion was seen.
