First we discussed the desired outcomes that the club would have.
Desired Outcomes
Reduce Social Isolation Mobility Improved metal health / depression mental agility Improved confidence Access to other services Signposting to other services Reduced stress on carers Savings on other services Increased independence
Then we chose 2 examples of the desired outcomes, reduced social isolation & improved knowledge of nutrition and discussed ways to find out information that would help us to report on them.
1. Reduce Social Isolation indicators What’s the main reason for coming? How often do you get out of the house? Have you made / come with friends?
A feedback box Do you keep in touch outside of the lunch clubs? Are users happy with the service?
2. Improved knowledge of nutrition indicators Who cooks your food for the rest of the week? How often do you cook from scratch? Consider one to one questioning More in depth sessions Review what food is available and where Discuss varied diets What makes a healthy meal - food quiz Maybe ask questions to other stakeholders e.g. social worker or councils
We also discussed what to do with the information you find out
