Client: ED Federal Student Aid (FSA) Digital Experience Team (DET)

• Challenge: Stakeholder issues, confusion, and concern around Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application submittal process

• Solution: RIVA set out to fix the broken FAFSA application process. We discovered compatibility issues with Safari and Firefox Apple-Mac applications during analysis. Based on findings, we launched an initiative to consolidate 18 different website entry/access points for applications. In addition, our team implemented Radian6 to track conversation around www.fafsa.ed.gov. Today, we work both on-site and virtually to educate FSA on social media and how to take full advantage of software capabilities.

Client: Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs (ASPA)

• Challenge: With more than 300 social media accounts scattered across the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and a portfolio of 40+ public-facing websites, the Digital Communications Division (DCD) at ASPA has its work cut out for them, producing unified campaigns/messages and monitoring all that chatter online.

• Solution: RIVA provides a Social Media Monitoring and Engagement Tool, Radian6, to mine the chatter around this portfolio of websites. As a result, DCD can get to know a vast audience of website users, learn more about what they are saying online, and analyze how users feel by monitoring, tracking, and measuring overall engagement.

Client: International Information Programs (IIP)

• Challenge: Negative persuasion campaigns appearing on international blogs and wikis require real-time online monitoring and engagement

• Solution: RIVA influences conversation on U.S. Diplomacy in other countries via social media. We provide access to Marketwire/Sysomos social media solutions and monitor for various international topics in regions as diverse as Singapore, South Africa, and Egypt. As a result of their access to our platforms, DoS has been able to gain valuable insight and understanding on conversations, sentiment, and volume of mentions occurring in these regions.

• Challenge: The ATF Office of Public and Government Affairs Public Affairs Division (PGA/PAD) needed to monitor and measure social media.
