MexicoDublin Business ConferenceMay 2014 Dublin City Council’s first ever Mexico—Dublin Business Conference, promot- ing Dublin as a gateway to Europe, took place on the 1st & 2nd May 2014. The Innovation Luminary Awards June 2014 The 2014 Innovation Luminary Awards took place on the 11th of June in Dub- lin’s City Hall. The Awards were established to celebrate and recognise out- standing innovation role models and through this to inspire the next generation of innovators. One Young World -October 2014 The One Young World Summit took place in Dublin from October 15th—18th 2014 and saw 1,300 young leaders from across the world share innovative solutions for the pressing issues the world faces included the topics of Sustainable Develop-ment, Youth Entrepreneurship, Climate Justice and Peace and Reconciliation among others. The Undergraduate Awards –November 2014

A three-day UA Global summit - a “Davos for students” - took place in Dublin on the 19th-21st November, 2014 where winners and highly commended students had the opportunity to take part in discussions, workshops and events all geared towards enhancing their personal development, encouraging responsible leadership and equipping them with the knowledge they need to further themselves, their ideas and research.

Berlin House of Representatives –September 2014 A delegation from Berlin house of Representatives (Budget Committee) came to City Hall, Council Chamber for a meeting on an overview workings of Local Gov-ernment in Ireland on 26th September 2014.

World Tourism Cities Federation—Beijing September 2014 Lord Mayor Christy Burke, Peter Finnegan and Michael Sands from Dublin City Council attended the World Tourism Cities Federation in Beijing from 3rd to 6th September 2014. Meetings also took place with the Mayor of Beijing Wang Anshun. Picture includes: Mayor of Beijing Wang Anshun and the Lord Mayor of Dublin Christy Burke.

Smart Cities Expo World Congress Barcelona—November 2014 Peter Finnegan, Director International Relations presented at the Smart Cities Expo on Dublin’s data challenges and the need for multiple and diverse platforms to help make differential data open, tangible and accessible to citizens.

Union of Capital Cities of the EU –December 2014 The Annual General Assembly of the Union of Capital Cities of the EU took place on the 3rd and 4th of December, 2014 at City Hall. Deputy Mayors and City Officials from a variety of European Capital cites travelled to take part in the meeting which focussed on the Urban Agenda and strengthening engagement with the EU Commis-sion .

Mayor of Tbilisi Visit—December 2014 The Mayor of Tbilisi visited Dublin and met with the Lord Mayor of Dublin Christy Burke, Owen Keegan, Chief Executive Dublin City Council, and Michael Sands, Deputy Director, International Relations on the 10th & 11th of December. Lord Mayor of London Visit—December 2014 The Lord Mayor of Dublin Christy Burke hosted a delegation from the City of London including the Lord Mayor of London on the 16th of December, 2014.
