Visits to MHP at Peochar and a government facility (GGPS) Shukhdara

Under EU-Peace Project

Village Peochar is located in UC

Gwalerai and at a distance of 15

km from Main Matta bazaar. The

people get their livelihood from

agriculture and daily wage labor.

The village did not have

electricity and other basic

facilities. SRSP with the financial

assistance of EU under PEACE

program installed a micro hydro

power station.

The EU delegates visited and inspected, the water channel

and forebay of the Micro Hydro Power Station

The EU mission paid a visit to GGPS

(Government Girls Primary School)

Shoukhdara village in Tehsil Matta. The

two rooms in the school were in

dilapidated conditions. The local

community members requested

education department for the

renovation of this school. When this

request was forwarded by Education

department to SRSP, it did its technical

survey along with cost estimation.

After getting approval to renovate this

school the rehabilitation work was

started in the month of October and

completed in January 2014.

The delegate inspected the

rehabilitated portion. They also met

teachers and ADO school and

discussed various matters regarding

education sector in Swat.
