This popular international aquatic feed andnutrition meeting will focus on nutritionaladvances and processing technology inthis complex, sophisticated and dynamicfeed sector.

Scientists from Norway’s researchorganization, Nofima, will come togetherwith renowned industry experts to presentthe latest advances in the field.

Conference programme

Optimal pellet quality is a trade-offbetween durability and responses inthe fish Turid Synnøve Aas, Nofima, NorwayHandling, storage and transport of feedslead to attrition of pellets. Undersizedparticles represent loss and poor utilisationof feed resources. Thus, feeds with highphysical pellet quality are demanded. However, the physical properties affectthe nutritional value of feeds. Researchshows feed intake appears to be a mainfactor when evaluating pellet quality, butseveral other factors, such as pelletdurability, nutrient digestibility and fatbelching must be taken into considerationwhen searching for the most economicaland sustainable pellet quality.

Multivariate modelling of extrudedfish feed pellet qualityTor Andreas Samuelsen, Nofima, NorwayIn this presentation results of research intothe impact on pellet hardness anddurability of commercial fishmeal parcelscombined with low, medium and highwater and steam input levels in theextrusion process will be discussed. Theinformation can be used by the aquafeedindustry to better understand and correctthe observed variance in extrusionproperties and pellet quality and toimprove the product specifications usedby fish meal producers and purchasers.Examples on how the knowledge can beused to solve problems in the extrusionprocess will be discussed.

Planning a Strategic Path for FeedSafety in Aquafeed PlantsJoseph P Kearns, Wenger Mfg., Inc. USAThe developing trend in aquafeed plants isto ensure feed safety throughout the

production process. A strategic path toaccomplish this would be to assess anddesign the facility with attention to rawmaterials and their storage, plantequipment design, processing oroperating procedures, final productefficacy and the overall culture or day today operation of the plant. The wayforward in aquafeed production safety isto strive to identify and validate criticalcontrol points in the process; avoidrecontamination in downstream areas andinstall a finished product testing procedurefor validation, Kearns will say.

Trends in aquafeed: Relevence andtechnical solutionsUrs Wuest, Buhler, SwitzerlandChanges throughout the entire aquafeedvalue chain will impact feed millers in thenear future and beyond. Urs Wuest will

present the current trends in the aquafeedindustry to ensure feed and food safetyand hygiene. This will include the changesin raw materials, feed manufacturing, aquaculture, processing of the fish andcrustaceans and the demand fromcustomers in total and by fish species.Further will be explained how changingrequirements in the aquafeed industrytranslate into a demand for specifictechnical requirements, such as extrusiontechnology.

Aquafeed sourcing, key to successfulaquaculture sectorMrs. Valeska Weymann, GLOBALG.A.P.,GermanyCertification is a tool that aquafeedmanufacturers can adapt to demonstrateresponsible sourcing of ingredients.Sourcing plays a key role in operational

Aquafeed Horizons: Advances inprocessing and formulationDr. Olai Einen, Director of Research, Nofima, Norway, will welcome delegates to the 5th Aquafeed.com conference: Aquafeed Horizons 2011, which will take place May 3, 2011, the opening day of VICTAM 2011, in Cologne Germany.

costs: raw materials are subject to riskassessment, including economical, supplychain, safety and ecological assessments.Where feed contains fishmeal and/or fishoil, it is desirable to know the species usedand country of origin together with proofthat it does not contain endangered species. At the processing level HACCP systemsmust be in place as well as considerationto workers health and safety. Animalprotein must comply with the legislation ofthe country of production and purchaserequirements of the country of destination.

The use of seaweeds in aquatic feedColin Mair, Ocean Harvest, IrelandSeaweeds are an under-used natural andsustainable resource in the feed industry, both for aquatic feeds and terrestrialfeeds. Analysis of seaweeds shows themto be a rich source of many traceingredients, as well as having a significantquantity of high quality 'macro'ingredients. Ocean Harvest Technologyhas been involved in the research anddevelopment of a complex mix ofseaweed powders that can be used tomake a 'chemical-free' feed product, andhave shown in rigorous commercial trialswith fish and shrimp significantimprovements in health, growth rate, feedconversion ratios and resistance todisease.

High growth rates in Atlantic salmon(Salmo salar L.) fed 7.5% fish meal inthe diet. Micro-, ultra- and nano-filtration of stickwater and effects ofdifferent fractions and compounds onAtlantic salmon performance fed verylow fish meal diets Katerina Kousoulaki, Nofima Ingredients,Fyllingsdalen, Norway

High growth rates and low fish in-fish outratios (FIFO) were achieved in salmon fedvery low fish meal diets. Feed intake, fishbody growth, whole body protein content, protein gain and morphometry weresignificantly affected by the inclusion ofdifferent stickwater fractions in the low fishmeal diets. The present work givesevidence on the multi-dimensional effectsof the different marine water solublecomponents in fish performance. In orderto identify novel high added value watersoluble marine raw materials more studiesmust be conducted on the identification ofspecific functional effects of marine watersoluble compounds in fish.

Improved P utilization of marine feedresources Sissel Albrektsen, Nofima, Fyllingsdalen,NorwayPhosphorus (P) is an essential element fornormal energy metabolism, skeletaldevelopment and growth in fish. The mainnatural source of P in commercial fishfeeds are fish meals and fishery products.Fish have limited and variable ability todigest P from fish meal, making it difficultto predict that adequate P is present fornormal growth and health of fish. The lowcapacity for P digestion especially insalmonids releases about 60-80 % ofdietary P through faecal and urinaryexcretion, which is a major environmentalconcern. Nofima Ingrediens hasdeveloped a process for alternativeprocessing of the bone fraction of fishmeal to make the minerals more watersoluble and available. Improveddigestibility has been demonstrated formacro minerals and trace minerals, although the variation in betweenelements appears to be high. Selected

results from a strategic institute programrelated to technological processing of thebone fraction, and to biologicalperformance of salmon fed the Pimproved feed ingredients, will bepresented.

Effects on performance and productquality in Atlantic salmon fed dietsreduced in organic pollutantsTorbjørn Åsgård, Nofima, NorwayA short path distillation process has beendeveloped, using a volatile working fluidthat efficiently removes persistent organicenvironmental pollutants from fish oils.Potential beneficial effects in the farmedfish from reducing the POPs in the feedoil, were tested in a study lasting frompost smolt size to slaughter size. The fishwere given feeds containing purified or notpurified fish oil. There was a tendency forbetter growth and feed utilization in thegroup receiving feed containing purifiedoil, particularly during periods of highgrowth. They also appeared to bettertackle handling stress during theslaughtering process and had a firmertexture.

You cantap into that innovation and expertise byattending Petfood Forum Europe duringVICTAM International 2011. It will be heldMay 4, 9:00 – 17:05, in rooms 3+5 inRheinsaal on the second floor ofCongress-Centrum Nord in Koelnmesse. In addition to the latest knowledge from

the industry’s leading experts, PetfoodForum Europe offers plenty ofopportunities to network with familiarcolleagues as well as make connectionswith new industry peers.

Conference programmeAs of press time, here is the schedule andlist of topics and speakers:

09:00-10:00 Registration and check-inwith coffee and light breakfast

10:00-11:00 Consumers and Web 2.0:impact on the global petfood marketLee Linthicum, head of global foodresearch for Euromonitor International, UK,discusses the relatively recession-proofstatus of the global pet care industry, thanks largely to the ongoing trend of pethumanization. With the global economyslowly recovering, he provides analysis ofthe major trends and developmentsdriving pet care sales, including the role ofthe internet in shaping consumerpreferences and spending habits.

11:00-11:40 Open innovation: what isin it for you?Edwin Grim, general manager for RalcoNutrition, Netherlands, describes howusing the world as your dynamic R&Dsource accesses virtually unlimited talentand input. The new challenges are inmanaging that input, filtering and scaling itto your needs. Expanding your networkboth within and outside your businessoffers a playing-field with rich rewards—and painful pitfalls.

11:40-12:20 Applying polymerscience to petfood productionBrian Plattner, processing engineeringmanager for Wenger Manufacturing, USA,describes how polymer science, the studyof the glass and melt transitions ofpolymers, has in recent years been appliedto many areas of petfood processing, including extrusion and drying trouble-shooting and product storage, to betterunderstand and predict processing effects. It can even be applied to ingredientselection, which is often a uniquechallenge during product development.

12:20-13:45 Lunch buffet

13:45-14:25 Advances in palatabilityfor dogsMarie Jane Fallourd, dog platformmanager for SPF France, discussespalatability for dogs, which is mainly drivenby the petfood’s smell, taste and texture. For dogs, the nature of the palatant usedas well as the way to add it to the kibbleare important to maximize palatability. All

drivers can be looked at when it comes toincreasing performance, including thesegmentation requirements of the dogfood market.

14:25-15:05 Assessing risks whenbuying raw materials for petfoodGeert Jacobs, business consultant forRadar Automation NV, Belgium, explainshow risk management is part of the job fora raw material buyer. Traditionally, thefocus in risk management was on quality. In the past few years, changes incommodity trading markets and highlyvolatile prices have meant an urgent focuson financial risks and availability. Generalmanagement needs effective, adequateinformation to assess raw materialcoverage and position risks.

15:05-15:45 Coffee break

15:45-16:25 New frontiers in nutritionfor pet health: the role ofnutrigenomicsDr. Peter Spring, professor at the SwissCollege of Agriculture, provides anoverview of nutrigenomics, the study ofhow nutrition contributes to health anddisease. Genomic tools have greatlychanged the landscape of all researchfields pertaining to life sciences, includingnutrition. In pets, such tools are beingused to study microbial populations andgene expression changes in blood andvarious tissues. Dr. Spring discusses howthe science may be applied to petfood.

16:25-17:05 Energy recovery andodor reduction in petfood productionTjitze Smit, Graintec A/S, Denmark, presents the average energy consumptionfor extruded petfood manufacturing, aswell as ways to save energy. One solutionis through condensation, recirculation ofthe air. Several models are suitable fordifferent types of plants. Because of newEU directives, additional focus has beenput on odor impact. It is important toanalyze and quantify the odor problem, then implement suitable solutions.

Conference programme

Feed safety: a whole chain approach Johan den Hartog, GMP+ International, the NetherlandsThe GMP+ Feed Safety Assurancescheme covers the whole feed chain, including production, processing, storageand transhipment and transport. Thisscheme also combines a practicalapplication of relevant qualitymanagement requirements of ISO 9001,HACCP and prerequisite programs for thedifferent types of companies in the feedchain. More than 11,570 companieslocated in 65 countries worldwideparticipate in the GMP+ FSA scheme.GMP+ International offers to GMP+

certified a lot of information collectedduring many years of experiences, storedin an interactive Feed Safety Database. The main characteristics of the GMP+International organisation are: multi-stakeholder participation, on one handinternational (global) operations andapplication of the scheme and on theother hand full space for national needs.GMP+ International will extend its focusbeyond feed safety to integrate with otheraspects of sustainability, in order to offer aone stop certification for its participants.

Cross contamination in the compoundfeed industry; Directive 2009/8/EC Fabrice Putier, TECALIMAN, FranceSince 1995 the EU has required feedmanufacturers to estimate the mixing andcross contamination risk of their factories. This pressure of regulation has increasedmore and more and the last directive(08/09) limited the carryover to 3% or 1%for coccidiostics, depending on whetheror not it is target feeds. In this context,Tecaliman has for 20 years developedrules to evaluate mixing capability of amixer and cross contamination levels infactories and also external tracer use. These measurement rules are now used inFrance by all feedmills and the global levelof cross contamination has halved.

The nutritive value of eight batches ofDDGS wheat were evaluated by means ofchemical analysis and in-vivo trials. Thenett energy value and protein value forruminants was determined by digestiontrials with sheep and by rumen andintestinal incubations with dairy cows. The energy value and ileal amino aciddigestibility was determined with pigs. The potential of laboratory parameters topredict the in-vivo nutritive value of DDGSwas examined.

Distillers dried grains produced fromcorn ethanolKip Karges, Technical Service Director,Poet Nutrition, USAKip Karges’ presentation will cover thegrowth of the corn ethanol industry up toits current state today as well as what thefuture may hold. Brief descriptions of theprocess will lead into a variety of topics, including quality control, consistency, product differences, research, nutrientcharacteristics, and challenges facing thisindustry.

The potential for organic traceminerals to improve animal health andreduce environmental impact ofanimal production systemsDavid Parker, Novus Europe, BelgiumMeeting the requirements of productionanimals for essential trace minerals hastraditionally involved the use of inorganicsalts whose availability is low resulting inover provision in the diet and highexcretion rates into the environment.Trace mineral sources bound to organicligands have a higher availability to theanimal resulting in improvements in animalhealth and performance. Newmethodologies provide an opportunity todifferentiate between sources and obtain

a better understanding of the potential forthe mineral/ligand complex to increasetrace mineral supply. These studiescoupled with animal experiments providea clearer picture of the importance oforganic trace minerals in animalproduction systems. This paper willdiscuss these aspects of trace mineralsupply and the benefits which can beexpected from their use.

Enzymes as additives for upgradingthe nutritive value of poultry dietscontaining sunflower meal Jovanka Levic, Institute for FoodTechnology, Novi Sad, Serbia The international limitations imposed onutilization of meat and bone meals inanimal diets, together with the increasingdemand for soybean meal, create anecessity to search for other proteinsources to economically balancecompound feeds. In this regard it isimportant to note that sunflower is thebest adapted high-protein crop availablein some European regions and that isuseful to use it in poultry farming as thereplacement of other protein sources. Protein and many other nutrients are

“imprisoned” to variable degrees, insidesunflower meal fibrous structures, andremain less available for digestion by thepoultry’s own proteases and otherendogenous enzymes. Added exogenousenzymes (phytase, hemicellulase, cellulase, carbohydrase, protease...) offera number of creative possibilities forbreakdown and “liberation” of thesenutrients, their easier digestion andabsorption, and thus development of newnutritional standards and new dietsformulation. Supplementation of poultrydiets containing sunflower meal bydifferent enzymes increasingly contribute

to sustainable poultry farming byenhancing production efficiency, increasing the effectiveness of nutrientutilization and upgrading in environmentalprotection.

Presentations will also be made byThomas van der Poel, WageningenUniversity, the Netherlands on how feedprocessing effects on bioavailability ofLysine; Delphine Melchior, ProvimiHoldings, the Netherlands on theimportant criteria to consider to select theright mycotoxin binders and Jacob deJong, RIKILT Wageningen UR, theNetherlands and Hans van den Heuvel,Nutreco, the Netherlands, who will talkabout industrial needs and scientificperspectives on rapid methods forchemical contaminants in feed.

The GMP+ FSA scheme is a scheme forassuring feed safety in all the links in thefeed chain. It is also an internationalscheme, applicable worldwide. Now,worldwide more than 11,500 companiesare certificated in over 65 countries. In thenear future, specific aspects regardingsustainability will be added in the scheme.

What is the advantage of GMP+FSA scheme compared to otherfeed safety standards? The main characteristics of the GMP+FSA scheme are the following: a. HACCP fully integrated, b. ISO 9001 based feed safety

management requirements, c. prerequisites pro-grammes focussed

on different target groups, d. international uniform product standards

(which can be adapted to stricter national legislation for the domestic market),

e. integrated chain approach for control in the whole chain and resulting in standardisation of measures in the chain,

f. only use of feed ingredients which are listed in a generic risk assessment database of feed materials,

Feed safety and sustainabilityassurance in a globalizing industry4 May 2011. Organised by GMP+ International. GMP+ International manages theGMP+ Feed Safety Assurance scheme (GMP+ FSA).

g. transparency, h. early warning system (EWS), i. traceability in order to be able to

organise a recall in 12 hours, j. international multi-stakeholders’

involvement in the decision making process

k. international participation of more than 11,500 companies in 65 countries.

This combination makes the GMP+ FSAscheme unique in comparison with otherEuropean codes of practice. Some ofthem have the first five elements, but aremainly operating on a national basis. Some of them, operating in aninternational level, have a restrictedscope, a specific link in the feed chain, like production of additives, or trade offeed materials only.Do you want more information about

This international meeting will bringtogether expert industry speakers toaddress technical issues affecting thepost-harvest grain chain, from storageand handling to processing.

Conference programme

Keynote Presentation: HEALTHGRAIN– results and perspectivesJan-Willem van der Kamp, Senior OfficerInternational Projects, TNO, theNetherlandsDr. Jan Willem van der Kamp has beenannounced as the keynote speaker. Dr. van der Kamp will update delegateson the results of HEALTHGRAIN, a €17million EU funded integrated project, which ran for five years and wascompleted in 2010. HEALTHGRAIN “Exploiting Bioactivity of

Cereal Grains for Improved Nutrition”united 44 research partners and coveredbreeding, technology, nutrition andconsumer research. It has provided newinsights and tools for increasing theaverage European citizen's intake of

whole grain products and its protectivecomponents. Studies on 200 varieties of wheat and

other cereal grains showed a 2 – 10-foldvariation in levels. Both high and low levelsof dietary fibre and other health-protectivecompounds were found in high yieldingvarieties: breeding tools were developedfor modulating fibre levels and theamylase:amylopectin ratio; millingtechnology systems were developed foraltering the levels of protective compoundsin flour and bran in order to matchpreferred nutritional profiles; the xylanaseenzyme toolbox offers possibilities foraltering the ratios of insoluble, soluble, and low molecular prebiotic fibre.Nutrition studies supported the known

health benefits of products rich in wholegrain and showed a favourable impact ofthese products on body composition (lessfat tissue) and of aleurone rich productsfor protection for inflammation and forreduced risks for heart diseases. The HEALTHGRAIN Forum association,

with more than 45 members of industryand academia, is now pursuing the aimsof the project.Dr. van der Kamp is well known to both

the food and feed grain industries: as aboard member and president of theInternational Association for CerealScience and Technology (ICC) hecontributed to conferences all over theworld as an invited speaker; as director ofCereal and Animal Nutrition Research atTNO, the Netherlands, he has participatedin and managed major internationalprojects, including the Eureka projectIMPROFEED, and the European projectsMoniQA (Quality Assurance in the foodchain) and HEALTHGRAIN.

Grain Handling and StorageOswin Verkerk, Project Manager, TebodinCCE – Deventer, the NetherlandsThis presentation will present the keyelements that are vital to achieve optimaldesign and process solutions for grainhandling and storage. Issues like safety, sustainability, environment, operationalcosts and flexibility are just as important

as issues such as capacity, investmentcosts, product requirements, tracking andtracing and hygiene.Considerations for both the handling

(e.g. intake, transport) as well as for thedifferent storage elements will bediscussed. Issues related to bulk loadingof finished products will also be touchedon. Different solutions will be shown, including their advantages anddisadvantages.

Organizing stored crop management;easy, safe and economicalPeer Hansen, Crop-Protector KS.,DenmarkStored grain management is becoming anincreasingly complex set of issues. Thispresentation will suggest a new, comprehensive way to manage andorganize all operational tasks associatedwith stored grain management, takinginto account such issues as storagestrategies, inventory issues, monitoring ofthe total crop value and shrinkageminimization. It has as one of its keyelements efficient monitoring ofconditional parameters (temperature, moisture, etc.). It also includes legislativeissues such as ISO-9000, Hazard AnalysisCritical Control Points (HACCP), GrainAnd Feed Trade Association (GAFTA),contract data and it includes optionalpossibilities for interfacing with externaldata bases.

Long term preservation of highmoisture grain under EuropeanconditionsChristian Lückstädt, R&D Manager,Addcon, Bonn, GermanyYear on year the agricultural industry faceshuge losses due to spoiled grain duringstorage. Unlimited mould growth causesnutrient losses; mycotoxin contaminationcan cause acute health problems inanimal husbandry, including reducedanimal performance and fertility problems. Successful preservative products need toguarantee the preservation andstabilisation of grain while offering easy,user-friendly handling to the customer.

GRAPAS Conference addressesgrain storage, handling andprocessing advancesMr. Hans-Christoph Erling, President of the German Millers Association (Verband Deutscher Mühlen), will welcome delegates to the first GRAPAS Conference to be held in Europe.

AEBIOM Conference: Pellets forBioenergy: The market takes offEU wide quality certification for wood pellets sets stage for new energy commodity.European Pellet Council adopts the framework for the European certification ENplus.

The ENplus certification system for woodpellets will be implemented at theEuropean level this year. This decisionbelongs to the European Pellet Council(EPC) founded in July 2010 under theumbrella of the European BiomassAssociation AEBIOM (www.aebiom.org).After the successful introduction of ENplusin Germany in 2010, the new system willbe introduced EU wide in 2011. Last year, the EPC adopted a common internationalhandbook specifying the qualityrequirements for wood pellets, which willbe the core of the new certification systembased on the EN 14961-2 standard.ENplus ensures the delivery of high qualitypellets to the customer, thus fostering asmooth development of the market, whichis protected from bad quality producerswho might disrupt consumer confidence.

The EN plus system was developedessentially by Germany (DEPV – GermanEnergy Wood and Wood PelletAssociation) and Austria (proPelletsAustria) and it was extensively reviewed bythe industry and certification experts. EPCpresident Dr. Christian Rakos (proPelletsAustria): “As wood pellets become an evermore important energy carrier, a clearlydefined uniform quality level becomesindispensable. ENplus will establish thislevel and thus represents a major steptowards establishing wood pellets as anew energy commodity. ENplus is aquality certification that covers the entiresupply chain from the production all theway to the end user.” Christian Rakosexpects rapid market uptake andestimates that approximately 30% of thetotal European pellet production capacity

will be ENplus certified by the end of 2011.The EPC is also responsible for

communicating the large potential ofefficient and sustainable renewable energyuse associated with wood pellets towardsthe European institutions and forintensifying the communication with thepower sector which uses pellets forrenewable electricity production. ChristianRakos also mentioned that well-functioningmarkets based on clearly defined qualitiesare essential to grow renewable energyuse in Europe.

Conference addresses challengesIn 2011 further challenges await the EPC.These challenges are going to beaddressed during the Pellets for Bioenergy:The market takes off conference organisedby AEBIOM on 5 May 2011, CologneExhibition Halls, Germany. The conferencewill bring together industry stakeholdersfrom across Europe to discuss about theENplus quality certification and its marketintroduction. Participants will also receiveupdates on market trends and worldwidepellets supply. Discussions will also focuson the implementation of sustainabilityschemes and the reduction of carbonfootprint of pellet plants.

AMANDUS KAHLThe Crown Expander: Shaping without aPelleting PressOur customers operate more than 600expanders worldwide. In the U.S.A. forexample, turkey fattening feed is expandedbefore pelleting in most cases. The annulargap expander has proved to be a goodsolution also in other fields such as starchmodification or the oilseeds-processingindustry. The pressure load in the expander acts

on all sides of the coarse particles. Thehomogeneous pressure distribution on theentire particle circumference is supportedby embedding these coarse particles in apasty moist matrix of fine particles.Another advantage lies in the fact that the

finer particles are agglomerated duringexpansion and thus are transformed intocoarse structures. It occurred to ourengineers that they might equip theexpander outlet with an annular die similarto that of a pelleting press. A die withoutpan grinder rollers to be more precise, asthey wondered: Should the high internalpressure of the expander not be able topress the finished product right throughthe round or oblong bores in the die ring, thus making the pressing and crushingeffect of pan grinder rollers superfluous?A rotating cutter was designed, meant to

cut the product strands leaving the die to

uniform pellet lengths. So the “CrownExpander” was born. The machine owesits name to the crown form of the first dieswhich were provided with slits instead ofbores.

One important component of the annulargap expander remained unchanged in theCrown expander: The hydraulicallymoveable cone. This cone can be movedinto and out of the crown die at the outletend. Depending on the position of thecone in the die, more or less die bores areopen for the production of pellets. Thus thepelleting process is easy to control bysimply varying the cone position – incontrast to conventional extrusionprocesses which require die changes or farmore complicated control mechanisms. The results obtained so far, have met

every expectation, which means that wesucceeded in the proverbial “squaring ofthe circle”: The Crown expander producespellets or other regularly shaped structureswhile preserving coarse particles andsimultaneously agglomerating fine andfinest components. The positive nutritionaleffect of expansion is another advantagewhich traditional pelleting does not offer.

IMAS MACHINERYReality of that information and technologyare important, is obvious in the globalmarket. In this respect, it is not possiblefor economies, which do not makeproductions based on Research &Development and do not plan its future, tomaintain their development any more. For this purpose, one of the basic

philosophies of Imas is to design products, accelerating production planning of theenterprises in the future and alsofacilitating their production processes whilemeeting their machinery requirements. Imas machinery, name of a power,

equipped with technology for production oftechnology, has developed two brands in

its sector as a result of this understanding. Milleral ve Cuteral…!Imas established in total area of 13.323

square meters of which, 7.900 squaremeters is outdoor, with basis of “TotalQuality Management”, has reached seriousextents for production and application ofnew technologies in the sector. Its most obvious evident is its superior

successes, which it has displayed in cerealgrinding, screening, cleaning, transportation and packaging machinesand automation, turnkey grindingmachines, including yield control systemsup to now and intensive customersatisfaction. It does not restrict its responsibility scope

by selling produced machine only toproducer companies with Milleral, one oftwo brands under the body of Imas. Mill factories, established with Milleral

brand, have experienced assurance ofImas, acting with a serious responsibilityconsciousness and sensitiveness in allsteps such as production performance andstandardization, quick technical serviceafter sales. Cuteral, one of two important brands

under the body of Imas, has taken its placeamong honorable brands for production ofband sawhorses. Imas, having not only production and

sales of investment goods, but also aconsiderably wide working area up toestablishment of factory, in which machineshall be operated, has become honorsymbol of Turkey in the sector byestablishing “turnkey” factories” in theworldwide. Imas, performing productions globally

with its technical staff and 160 experiencedemployees, bears its technology withMilleral and Cuteral brands and superiorperformance of marketing staff to about 50countries in 4 continents from Middle Asiato Middle East, from African countries toTurkic Republics.

Imas Machinery, whose producedmachines, design and technology isfollowed by some big companies in theWorld, has placed among first 10institutions, making production globally inthis scope. Imas Machinery, having ISO 9001:2000,

TSEK and CE certificates now, has a futurephilosophy by aiming to become a brand, whose power is accepted in the worldwideand to find acceptance much moreglobally by developing itself more in thelong period.
