Olvera Street“Los Angeles’ 1st Street” is all about culture, history, food, art & crafts

For Food: Hit up La Noche Buena for some authentic, fun and affordable

Mexican Food. Check out their array of Salsas! Also be sure to check out all the

Mexican snacks at the various vendors/stands on Olvera.

Culture/History: Head across the street to La Plaza de Cultura y Artes. It’s full of

Mexican culture and the history of Mexican immigration to Los Angeles. The installations include a market “mercado”

from the early days of Latin L.A.

Art/Crafts: Check out all vendors on Olvera street both in the middle of the

street and on both sides of the curbs. You find everything from handmade toys to

traditional cooking utensils.
