What is meant by waste water ……?

The purity of water decides on the basis of level of oxygen present in water………

If the level of oxygen is sufficient enough that water is said to pure water…

If the level of oxygen is not sufficient enough then that water is said to be waste water…..

Inorganic particles such as sand, grit, metal particles, ceramics, etc.;Soluble inorganic material such as ammonia, road-salt, sea-salt, cyanide, hydrogen sulfide, thio- cyanates, thio-sulfates, etc.; Animals such as protozoa, insects, arthropods, small fish, etc.;Macro-solids such as sanitary napkins, nappies/diapers, needles, children's toys, dead animals or plants……

Constituents of waste water:

Gases such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, methane, etc.;Emulsions such as paints, adhesives, mayonnaise, hair colorants, emulsified oils, etc.;Toxins such as pesticides, poisons, herbicides, etc.Pharmaceuticals and hormones………

Treatment of waste water.........Water can be treated in many ways……..Osmotic process……Magnetic process….Industrial methods……..

Page 7: presentation on waste water management

Industrially water is purified in two process…..

Page 8: presentation on waste water management

Industrially water is also purified in this process…..The purity of water produced here is very high….but it needs very cost…. So we has to go for another alternative…….

Page 9: presentation on waste water management

The second process is osmotic process: This is a process of

less expenditure…But the water produced in this process is not so purified….This plant has to be fixed at a stationary point......Here chlorine gas is used so it is chemically effective…..

Page 10: presentation on waste water management

The other process of purification is: magnetic process……….The water

produced in this process is highly purified and 100% sure….But it takes long time to purify….So it is also excluded……..

Page 11: presentation on waste water management

Water can also be purified by……… chemical additives……..

Disadvantages of this process…….

There are many deadly effects on drinking of polluted water both on mankind and animal kingdom……:Mainly on respiratory organs like lungs…., kidneys…, liver………! it also kills the immunity system… it also effects digestive system.. sometimes it may lead to death……

Agriculture has to compete for increasingly scarce water resources with industry and municipal users, there is often no alternative for farmers but to use water polluted with urban waste directly to water their crops.

Waste water can be used for agriculture…….

Types of waste water…………Waste water is of many types……….Construction waste Demolition wasteElectronic waste Brown waste
