Do you read music magazines often?

This beginning question was to find out whether my target audience are familiar with music magazines and if they read them a lot. This will help with knowing how often to distribute my magazine.

What is your favourite music magazine?

There are a variety of music magazines around today all covering different genres and aimed at different audiences, this question helps to know what style of music and artists my target audience enjoys.

What is your favourite part in a music magazine?

This questions defines what features I should put in my magazine as I want my target audience to be interested in my magazine. It also helps to identify what features I should not include in my magazine, or include less of.

How much do you usually pay for a music magazine?

I want my magazine to be accessible to my target audience so I need to decide on a good price for my magazine.

What is your preferred genre of music?

This question helps me to understand more about my target audience and it also helps me to decide on what genres of music my magazine should cover.

Do you own an iPod or MP3?

This question helps to show how many people have iPods/MP3 players nowadays and music is a big part of people’s life. Many people listen to music for a few hours a day.

How often do you listen to music?

Once again, this question emphasises the importance of music in people’s lives and I was interested to know, actually how much my target audience listen to music.

Do you have any other hobbies or interests?

Music magazines do not just cover music they cover all branches of the media including film and fashion. Therefore, I wanted to find out more about my target audience and see if I should include other features in my magazine to keep my audience interested.
