Amu Hinamori grew up with a tough outside character and everyone in school addresses her as "Cool and Spicy", but deep down she is extremely shy and timid. One of the reasons that she has this image is because her mother dresses her in punk and cool clothing.

One night, she became tired of everybody viewing her outside character and made a wish to be someone other than herself. The next morning, she finds three odd looking eggs on her bed. The eggs hatch one after another and give birth to her Guardian Characters, Ran, Miki, and Su; later, a fourth Guardian Character named Dia.

When Tadase Hotori, the King's Chair of the Guardians of Seiyo Academy, discovers her eggs, he invites her into their team and give her the title "Joker". Though she doesn't want to join the team at first, she eventually gives in after realizing how serious the situation is. As the person with three Guardian Characters, Amu is given the Humpty Lock with mystical powers and so receives the ability to Character Transform.

GUARDIAN CHARACTERSRan Ran is the first guardian character to hatch, and the first to character

transform with Amu. She is extremely energetic and is almost never seen without her cheerleader pom-poms. She is born from Amu's wish to become someone other than herself.

Ran represents Amu's desire to be more honest, athletic, and confident.

Likes: Cheering on other people.Hates: Keeping still.

Miki Miki is the second guardian character to hatch. Amu's second, artistic

and fashionable Guardian Character. Her powers include increasing Amu's drawing and painting abilities. She is born from Amu's wish to become someone other than herself.

Miki represents Amu's desire to be more sharp, levelheaded and artistic.

Likes: Arts and Crafts.Hates: Anything that offends her artistic sense.

SuuSuu is the third guardian character to hatch. She tends to be very girly and

doesn't have many fighting skills, but has domestic skills. She is very good at housekeeping, cooking, and knitting. She is born from Amu's wish to become someone other than herself.

Suu represents Amu's desire to be more caring, sensitive, and improve her domestic skills.

Likes: Cleaning and Cooking.Hates: Caterpillars.

Dia Dia is Amu's fourth and final Guardian Character. Her egg was created a

while after Ran, Miki and Suu were born. Because Amu disliked everything that happened in the spring term, Dia lost sight of her owner, became an X-Character, and went to Utau Hoshina. She returned to her slumber after Amu "shines again," but came out permanently later. She's positive and wise, yet something of an air-head.

Dia represents Amu's desire to be an idol, be noticed in front of others, and shine.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi Profile Name: Ikuto Tsukiyomi ( 月詠イクト ) Birthday: December 1 Age: 17 (in chapter 28 he told Amu he was a senior in high

school) Blood type: AB Height: 180cm (5 feet, 11 inches) Weight: 64kg (140 lbs)

Ikuto is a teenage boy contracted by Easter to find the Embryo. He often helps Amu Hinamori even though he works for the Easter Company. Ikuto actually despises Easter and tries to wrench himself free from them by trying to find the Embryo to grant his own wish.

He is in possession of the Dumpty Key. It pairs with Amu's Humpty Lock.

Like his father, Ikuto is a skilled violinist. His mother, upon marrying someone else after they found her husband's violin in a foreign country and believing that he would not come back, bound her children into working for Easter.

Ikuto is in love with Amu Hinamori. He also kissed her on the cheek (REALLY close to her lips) before he took off.

He confessed to her in the anime the same time Tadase did, but Amu thought it was a joke.

GUARDIAN CHARACTERYoruHis Guardian Character is the mischievous Yoru, who is created

from his desire to become free as a stray cat.

CHARACTER TRANSFORMATIONSIkuto can transform with Yoru into Black Lynx ( ブラック リンクス ).

This represents his desire to be as free as a stray cat. Appearance: When transformed, Ikuto grows cat ears and a cat

tail and wears a short navy top with long navy pants. He also wears a glove on his right hand with metal claws.

Abilities: Ikuto gains increased cat-like reflexes and senses. He can use his glove to attack with Slash Claw ( スラッシュ クロウ ).

Death RebelA plan executed by Kazuomi Hoshina involved using Ikuto's X Egg

energy influenced violin to control him. The result was Ikuto having been manipulated to become Death Rebel ( デス レーベル ). This represents the trauma and darkness he holds in his heart. Ikuto has no memory of his actions as Death Rebel.

Appearance: In this form, Ikuto grows cat ears and wears a black suit and a black tie. He also sports an armband on his left arm, similar to the armband Amu wears with her school uniform.

Abilities: In this form, he is able to play the violin to take hearts' eggs and create material projections. His violin can turn into a Death Scythe, with which he attacks using Dark Night Storm ( ダークナイト ストーム ).

Seven Seas TreasureWhen Amu completely opens her heart to embrace Ikuto, the two of

them transform together. While Amu becomes Amulet Fortune, Ikuto becomes the pirate Seven Seas Treasure ( セブンシーズ トレジャー ), which represents his freedom to do what he wants. This is most likely only a temporary transformation.

Appearance:

In this form, he wears a blue pirate outfit and an eyepatch, but keeps his cat ears. On the hat is a skull and crossbone symbol with a cat's head replacing the skull.

Abilities: Ikuto has a pirate sword for the attack Emerald Line ( エメルド ライ

ン ).

Seven comes from: Amu Ran Miki Suu Dia Yoru His father Aruto Tsukiyomi Seas: His father Aruto was believed to be lost overseas. Treasure: Amu is the treasure Ikuto has been looking for.

Tadase Hotori Profile Name: Tadase Hotori ( 辺里唯世 ) Birthday: March 29 Blood type: B Weight: 44kg (96 pounds) Height: 158cm

Tadase has short blond hair with a thin ahoge. He has red-violet eyes. Tadase’s timid and shy , even though he acts confident around others. Tadase is very kind as Kiseki points out that kindness is his strength before they Character Transform in Platinum Royal for the first time.rm and face constantly attract girls and confessions to him.

KisekiHis Guardian Character is Kiseki, who was born from his desire to

become stronger and the dream of world domination. Also, Kiseki acts as if he is the leader amongst all the Guardian Characters. It's a running gag for the other Guardian Characters to ignore him. Kiseki has light purple hair and blue eyes, he wears a king's outfit with puffy dark blue pants and a red, long cape with a yellow crown. His outfit is like kings of France or the royal king wore in the French Revolution

Kukai Souma Profile Name: Kukai Souma ( 相馬空海 ) Birthday: August 17th Age: 12 (First Season) 13 (Second Season) Blood type: A Height: 170cm. (5 feet, 7 inches) Weight: 55kg. (121pounds)

One year senior to Amu, Kukai helps Amu with her training as the Joker. Although he was the captain of the soccer club, Kukai loves and excels at all sports. At the end of the school year, Kukai graduates and goes on to middle school. However, Kukai returns to visit the Guardians now and then to assist them.

During his time in Seiyo Academy, he is close friends with Tadase and carries the responsibility of training Amu.

As a sporty kid, he has an outgoing personality, and also a sense of justice. He is very competitive and sometimes competes with Amu and Nadeshiko.

He would visit the Guardians sometimes and help out in battle. Kukai has brown hair and neon-green eyes. He also has pierced

both ears. He is usually in his school uniform, but will occasionally wear

other outfits.

Guardian CharacterDaichiHis Guardian Character is Daichi, created from his passion for

sports but was indecisive to choose one.

Character TransformationThanks to the Humpty Lock, Kukai and Daichi are able to perform a

Character Transformation during the beginning of spring term, becoming "Sky Jack". This represents his desire to play many sports.

Nadeshiko Fujisaki/ Nagihiko Fujisaki

Nadeshiko Fujisaki ( 藤咲なでしこ , Fujisaki Nadeshiko) is female ego of Nagihiko Fujisaki, who is really a boy.

Nadeshiko the former Queen's Chair of the Guardians. When Amu rejected the offer to join the Guardians, Nadeshiko tried several tactics to convince Amu to join. The two eventually become best friends and Nadeshiko looks over and supports Amu in her love life.

The reason behind is that in the Fujisaki family, boys must cross dress as girls in order for them to learn how to dance. Amu has seen Nadeshiko dance for practice, but has only seen her real performance once. As Nadeshiko, "she" can pull off as a girl because Nadeshiko had been in the disguise for a long period of time.

Nadeshiko practices the art of Japanese dance due to her mother being a teacher.

Guardian CharactersTemariNadeshiko's first Guardian Character is the elegant, yet fierce-

tempered Temari. Very well-mannered, Temari dislikes having her kimono dirty. But whenever there are bugs present, or if something goes off, she can be very tempered and actually forces others to finish what has started. Prior to Nadeshiko's return from Europe, she went back to her egg to slumber. The fact that Nadeshiko has problems about her gender.

RhythmWhile Nagihiko was in Europe, he dropped the confidence of

dancing like a girl and Temari was forced back into her egg, at the same time, Rhythm's egg was born, which he later brings with him back to Japan. When Nagihiko remembers how much he loves basketball in his own rhythm, it hatches into the cool and outgoing Rhythm.

Rima Mashiro Profile Name: Rima Mashiro ( 真城りま ) Birthday: February 6 Blood type: B Height: 145cm. (4 feet, 9 inches) Weight: 35kg. (77 pounds)

Although Rima is the same age as Amu, she is extremely petite and has relatively poor athletic ability. Most of the boys in her class admire her because of her beauty and passive personality, while the girls are annoyed by her because of her arrogance. She "fake-cried" when she knew that Nadeshiko was Amu's best friend. Though Nagihiko is the only one who can see right through it. Some call her "The Goddess of Comedy".

After seeing how Amu worked hard to cleanse X-Eggs, she began to join in with athletic activities. Slowly, she develops a close relationship with the Guardians. She was nearly kidnapped once, and because of that her parents always worry and take her home everyday after school.

Rima has been seen several times watching comedy, which she and Kusukusu watch and laugh about often. She also often makes silly faces (or used to) to make her mom and dad laugh. When people do gags (such as Bala-Balance) she gets extremely angry and corrects them. She also makes sarcastic comments when not exactly necessary. She is constantly checking her cell-phone though the reason why has not been revealed.

Guardian CharacterKusukusuRima's Guardian Character is the comedic Kusukusu, who is born

from her desire to make others laugh. Whenever Rima feels down, she would make funny faces to cheer

her up.

Yaya Yuiki Profile Name: Yuiki Yaya ( 結木やや ) Birthday: May 25 Age: (First Season) 9 (Second Season) 10 Blood type: O Height: 152cm. (5 feet) Weight: 41kg. (90 pounds)

Yaya Yuiki ( 結木やや , Yuiki Yaya) is the childish girl serving as the Ace's Chair and is one year junior to Amu. Yaya often acts immature for her age, such as having an enormous sweet tooth, a great soft spot for items like ribbons as well as tending to be hyperactive. Yaya wants to be a baby forever so her parents would give her more love then her younger brother. She is also a good ballerina, but also a rather clumsy one. Yaya's favorite things are cute and babyish.

Yaya wears her hair in pigtails with big red ribbons attached to her hair. Her eyes are brown and her hair is orange/brown. Like the other female Guardians, she wears a red cape at school.

Guardian Character PepeHer Guardian Character is the baby-looking Pepe, born from her

desire to become a baby again. Pepe has darkish orange hair in 2 ponytails like Yaya and light blue eyes. Pepe wears a pink baby outfit with a white bib and a pink and white hat with bunny ears and a red ribbon on the side. Pepe always has a yellow pacifier in her mouth

Kairi Sanjou Profile Name: Kairi Sanjou ( 三条海里 ) Birthday: June 12 Blood type: A Height: 160cm. (5 feet, 3 inch) Weight: 50kg. (110 pounds)

Kairi is the younger brother of Yukari Sanjo and was sent to spy on the Guardians. This wasn't his choice though, Yukari immediately begged him to transfer to Seiyo upon discovering that he had a Guardian Character. Since his sister is busy at work, Kairi takes care of the household work (and his sister) in her apartment. However, when he saw the true meaning of his "missions," he tries to rebel against Yukari, but not before he reveals his secret to the Guardians when they accidentally discover him with Pestering CDs. After Amu convinces him that he needs to do what he truly thinks is right, he switches sides. After they stopped Easter's plan to use the Black Diamond CDs, he returns to his hometown and his place as the Jack's Chair is replaced by Nagihiko Fujisaki.

Guardian Character MusashiKairi's Guardian Character is the samurai Musashi, created from his

will to be a strong samurai and protect the weak. As a headstrong character, Musashi is very wise and calm.

Utau Hoshina Profile Stage Name: Utau Hoshina ( ほしな歌唄 ) Birth Name: Utau Tsukiyomi Birthday: November 9 Age: 14 (First Season) 15 (Second Season) Blood type: A Height: 161cm Weight: 42kg

Utau is a 14-year-old junior high/high school student model turned into singing idol. Utau Hoshina is actually only her stage name, since her actual name is Utau Tsukiyomi ( 月詠歌唄 Tsukiyomi Utau), and is Ikuto's younger sister. She is in love with Ikuto and is constantly trying to win his affection, and thus becomes extremely agitated when she notices that Ikuto is interested in Amu Hinamori. However, she eventually becomes friends with Amu. Utau was both independent artiste (with her hit Meikyuu Butterfly) and the vocalist of the indie band "Black Diamond", produced by her manager, Sanjo Yukari, as a method of using the CDs of their music to draw the eggs out of children and make them into X-Eggs. When the plan fell apart, Utau quit Easter Company with her manager and became a singer on her own, without Easter contracting her.

Guardian CharactersIruUtau's first Guardian Character that is seen is the conflict-loving,

devilish girl, Iru. She dislikes peace and becomes very bored if the current situation is so. She berates Eru at one point that a Guardian Character that doesn't even Character Transforms is not needed. Soon after, Eru left Utau, and lru actually becomes so bored that she wanted Eru to return so she can tease her. She also tends to be very rude to others, in particular to Yukari Sanjo.

EruUtau's second guardian character is the angel-like Eru. Although

Eru is pure hearted, she can be very hyper and sometimes acts over the top, declaring herself as the "angel of love". She hates it when others (especially the Guardians) talk about love when she's not there. She also has a habit of singing. It is shown that Eru might have a crush on Rhythm when he hugged her. She left Utau because of the continuous teasing of Iru and also Utau was ignoring her. Eru is shown to miss Utau soon though, and she eventually returns to Utau after the 'X' on Dia was lifted.

Character TransformationLunatic Charm When Utau transforms with Iru, she becomes the devil character

Lunatic Charm. This represents the rougher, more cunning aspect of her.

Appearance:As Lunatic Charm, Utau has the appearance of a demon; wearing a red dress that puffs out at the bottom like a umbrella . It has small black stripes running down it, and has a bat shape on the top. Utau also has bat wings in her hair, and large red boots. Around her neck is a bat-shaped choker attached with a silver cross.

Abilities:Her special move is Nightmare Lorelei, with it she sends out a massive wave of butterflies at her enemies. She can also use the Nightmare Trident.

Seraphic Charm Utau becomes the angelic Seraphic Charm when she transforms

with Eru. This represents her desire to touch people's hearts by singing and her desire to sing.

Appearance:In this form, she wears a pink tutu and has pink ribbons and white cloths attached around her arms and legs. She also wears ballet shoes, angel-wing shaped hair clips attached to her hair and a pair of angel wings. She has the appearance of a ballerina.

Abilities:Her special technique is Angel Cradle, which allows her to purify X Eggs and X Characters with her gentle song.

Dark Jewel With help of the Humpty Lock, Utau is able to transform with the X

Character Dia and become Dark Jewel. However, because she is not Dia's owner, the transformation drains a lot of her energy and thus, does not last long. This represents her readiness and determination to not lose.

Appearance:In appearance, she wears a headband with a diamond attached to either side of her ponytails, long black fish net socks, a pair of boots, a pair of purple gloves, a pair of mini indigo shorts, and a indigo top with a diamond cutout shape at the back and two long "tails".

Abilities:While in this form, she can use two special moves called Shining Black and Glitter Particle.
