I think that this is a decent film I would give in a 7 / 10 , so this is a similar rating to what IMB gave the film. The film was good because it was very relevant to what was currently happening in London in terms of crime.

I would agree with the rating of this film because the way the film has been put together is at a very good quality and it is done about a time period that is very well know in UK history. I think that the film show the life of the youth of that generation very well.

I think that this is an accurate representation of the film in terms of rating. I think that this film really shows what it is like to live the life of a 15 year old growing up in west London. This film shows the troubles of life

when at this age.

Urban

• All of these films are urban based films that have been done to show relatable situations from Britain mainly based around the UK’s youth. Shots from council estates and streets show what the youth of today gets up too.

• Attack the Block - is a film done in the urban part of London and its shows the attitude and the activity's of the youth of today and how they react to a situation where it is something out of the ordinary. This could be linked to our film because we are also filming with the same sort of age group and also we have situations incorporated that involves violence and drink/drugs.

Extra film views

• Kidulthood - Is a film that has been set all across the urban streets of London. This was voted the most controversial film of the year when it was released. The main setting for the film was Ladbroke Grove and Latimer Road in inner west London. This film was seen as a Teen film/ drama. Kidulthood is similar to our film in the sense that it is about teens in the normal environments and the things that go on and how the things that happen in there area affect them and what they do. The similarity's that our two films have is that the main plot of the film is both based around social groups, teenagers and crime.

Our film

• Our film is similar to the films that I have written about because we also have hidden within the main story how it is to live the life of a 16 -17 year old , in the middle class suburbs of London. Our film show the things that the average social tee would get up to and the things they could end up doing, taking and also the problems that they could face. Our film shows teens in the stereo typical way. By this it means large groups who are drinking , smoking and in some cases taking illegal substances. This is a negative representation of the youth of today. Our film also shows that dangers and challenges that the youth could face when traveling at certain times , in our film we have a scene where and 17 year old male gets stopped and attacked for his possessions. This is a situation which has happened in real life and also has been shown in similar ways in other films like ‘Kidulthood’ and ‘This is England’.
