French indie-rock band (bande) from Montral, Qubec, Canada.
They only sing in French.
They have three albums out on Dare to Care Records.
The members are Julien Mineau, Francis Mineau, Mathieu Cournoyer,
and Thomas Augustin.
3. Le Compte Complet
Le CompteComplet is the first album released (publi) by
Malajube.
It was released in 2004.
It was given positive reviews (commentaires)by critics and became
instantly famous among the music scene in Qubec.
The albums two biggest hits are La Valrie and Le Mtronome.
4. Trompe-lil
In 2006, Malajube released their second album, Trompe-lil.
The use of a wide variety (varit)of instruments and collaborations
with singer Pierre Lapointe, a famous rapper, helped with the
success of the album.
Two songs off the album,Montreal -40 C and Ton Plat Favori, were
featured in commercials.
The song Pte Filo was featured in a Radio Shack commercial in the
United States, bringing international fame to the group.
5. Labyrinthes
The most recent album released by Malajube.
Released in spring of 2009.
Julien Mineau, the lead singer and primary songwriter, described
(dcrit)the album's themes as being inspired (inspir)by the role of
Roman Catholicism in Qubec society.
