Leonardo da Vinci, was an Italian polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, botanist and writer. He was born in April of 1452 and he died in may 1519.

Leonardo da Vinci moved to Florence with his adoptive fatherwhen he was 17 years old. There he began his career as apainter, joining the workshop of Verrocchio, where he had theopportunity to forge a broad technical capability in different fields.
A few years later, in 1482, Leonardo da Vinci left Milan,where he worked for nearly two decades in the service of thecourt of Ludovico il Moro then passed to the king of France.
Then he went to Rome by Pope Leo X, but he soon went back toFrance in August 1516,in search of new spaces in which toexpress his art. Here he was given the title of "first painter,architect and mechanic of the King, without any obligation and withcomplete freedom to devote himself to study and meditation.
Leonardo da Vinci died, says the legend, in the arms of the king who
had so much appreciated. It was May 2, 1519.
