Carrie Fisher passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 60.

She is survived by her mother Debbie Reynolds, 84, and her daughter Billie Lourd, 24. 

Her death comes four days after she suffered a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles.

Fisher stopped breathing for 10 minutes before plane landed and was then rushed to UCLA Medical Center. 

Throughout her life, Fisher was open about her struggles with addiction and mental illness.

She admitted she started smoking pot at the age of 13, used LSD by 21 before moving on to other drugs.

Carrie Fisher was born on October 21st, 1956.

Fisher plays Lorna in the 1975 film Shampoo, her debut role.

Dan Aykroyd plays Tom Snyder and Fisher plays Linda Blair in a 1978 Saturday Night Live skit. The two were briefly engaged.

Paul Simon and Fisher hold hands in New York City in the early 80s. Their married lasted less than a year.

Fisher gave birth to Billie in July 1992. Her full name is Catherine Fisher Lourd, but she goes by the nickname Billie. Together they're pictured in 1990's (left) and in 2011(right).
