We liken finding a Don’t Panic pack is somewhat like finding an Easter egg. An enclosed pack of surprises. DON’T THINGS is an event conceptualised for you to experience first hand of what the pack is all about.

In the heart of each Don’t Panic pack, is the double sided A2 poster. They are themed fortnightly around

current social issues and causes relevant to our audience, and often produced in conjunction with

charities and pressure groups.Don’t Panic posters are designed by the people defining the look of their

generation – graphic designers, artists, illustrators and photographers from across the world, from the

most prestigious design agencies to fast up and coming artists.

Don’t Panic Malaysia is a strong supporter of the arts and its people and they do so right at the grass roots

level. Don’t Panic is a brand that relates right down to the people.

Bringing the brand experience back to the street, what better way to showcase the brand’s honesty and its high regards of arts than the humble T-shirt of our

backs.

A translation of street culture and the diverse reach of Don’t Panic’s audience is showcased through DON’T THINGS by employing guerilla tactics to surprise its

audience and making it memorable.

Angkatan Baju Malaya is a collective of independent clothing labels in Malaysia which has been established since end of 2007. They were famously known for going on tour around Malaysia selling their

t-shirts on a bus following rock concerts.

YPB is founded in Bandung, Indonesia.Upcoming collective with a focused on fashion,music arts and lifestyle has blasted into the scenepresenting fresh t-shirtdesigns and graphics.

Freemanslandvs Don’t Panic SG

The collaboration of Freemansland & Don’t Panic Singapore have brought about the most unique art bazaars and flea market presenting live art (music presentation) to exhibitions in Singapore, deliveringinnovative and creative experiences.

Going back to its roots, Don’t Panic transform this space into their living room for the people. Inviting partners and Don’t Panic teams from other regions to come kick back and celebrate its youth. Acting as the homebase and central store, Don’t Teez will also showcase artworks and posters from Don’t Panic’s extensive archive of graphic posters.

Merchandises and activities in this space will play tribute and celebrate printed graphics on t-shirts. The main hosts for this store had been carefully selected to represent the three cities, Kuala Lumpur, Bandung and Singapore. They will each bring to the store a taste of each city.

Music had long been a heavy influence in t-shirt graphics. From band shirts, to the latest nu-rave trend of multi fluoro graphics on t-shirts. Don’t Panic celebrates each beat that’s been played in this space. A special collaboration with The Yellow Bird Project will run at Don’t Dance. T-shirts personally designed by indie bands such as Wolfmother, Stars and Broken Social Scene will be sold and all profits will be channelled to an adopted cause.

Video cameras will be setup where everyone willbe invited to get filmed busting their best dancemoves. Short clips of this video will be compiled as part of a socio-commentary video project.Mats and hard board will be provided forbreak dancers and their crews are invited forlive battles.

COLLABORATIVE DANCE VIDEOPROJECT

Dance store will be a live band practice or a jam session lasting a whole week long. Crossover sets and also impromptu musicsession will be scheduled at various hours of the day as surprises for guests in store. Mixture of indie and better known bands will make the line up.

We will give you the license to tag at anywhere and anything you want. Within the four wall of the store only though. An empty space will be white washed all over providing visitors with a huge blank canvas. Store will be decorated and furnished with white furniture and fittings. Don’t Panic invites everyone to leave their mark within the space. Don’t Tag will also stock t-shirts by graffiti artists as well as a selection from Stussy, a label that had made its way up with its graffiti prints.

THE DON’T THINGS RETAIL ADVENTURE is also a SENSORY BRAND EXPERIENCE. Don’t Things creates options for unique and distinct experential brand communications involving consumers active participation. Reversing from traditional advertising, Big Bang engages consumers to act and respond.

I.e: The consumers starting from Home (POP UP+BLCKSTOR) will have to seek and find all Don’t Things guerilla stores. Every store has a unique item which the consumer has to collect. On collecting all items, the consumer gets rewarded: freebies, premiums, enter contest, etc.

Levels of difficulty can be increased for consumers to ‘work harder’ or place challenges or obstacles that the consumer has to overcome. All of which are dependent on the value of the reward.

In the retail journey route, plotting in visits to the brand’s retail store creates product visibility, situations-for-trial and opportunities-to-purchase for the brand.

Don’t Panic packs as the carrier-kit for this retail adventure adds exposure for further brand communication material and other branded items which if appealing to target consumers, will be saved as a keepsake and souvenir.
