AUDIENCE FEEDBACK
VIDEO
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK 1The lip sync on
the first section
was out of time
Good mix of
performance
and singing
Good use of different
locations and costumes,
the costumes gave the
character her own style,
and the style was
maintained throughout.
Links between
the lyrics and
performance
linked well
The character linked well
with the audience, as the
audience I could tell her
emotion through watching
which allowed me to
understand the narrative
of the music video.
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK 2
The singer’s
image is
represented well
in the video
throughout
Lip synching isn’t
quite accurate as I
think it needs to be
Love the red dress
where it links with
the lyrics
The locations worked
well the narrative of
the music video as well
as the singer’s image
The blurred effect on the
camera when filming the sky
works really well, even
though its not conventional
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK 3
The character had
seductive eyes
throughout the music
video which connected
her with the audience as
well as built on the fact
of her missing her lover
The choice of location
complimented the genre
and the characters style
The shot of the sky
worked really well,
then the shot of the
character straight after
shows the characters
fun side which we
don’t see much of
throughout the rest of
the video.
Lip synching
throughout the music
video was on point for
majority of the time,
however there is some
area for improvement
The light contrast of outside and
inside worked really well. The
lighting throughout the whole
video I feel worked really well.
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK 4
I liked the focus on the
artist throughout the
music video. It showed
that the narrative of the
video was based around
her. It also made it
easier for the audience
to connect with her.
The shadows either
side of the artist
when she was
dancing worked
really well.
Throughout the video
a variety of shots and
locations were used,
which I like as this is
conventional of a
professional music
video.
Even though the
singing shots were
performed really well
the quality of them
were not great
An effect to the lighting outside
could have been added to make
it look more professional
COMPARING FEEDBACK
o All of the feedback I received, said how
well the character was represented
throughout the music video. This shows
that Chloe and I achieved what we aimed
to by carefully choosing the costumes our
character was going to wear and how she
would have her hair and makeup
o Our audience has had different
opinions on the lighting
throughout our music video. One
person expressed how they
thought the lighting contrast
between the outside shots and
the indoor shots worked really
well, however another audience
member said they thought the
lighting outside could have done
with an effect on so the contrast
wasn’t as noticeable.
o All audience members mentioned the lip
synching only one audience member didn’t
mention it was out of time during some
parts. This shows me that Chloe and I
should have been more precise during the
editing stages.
COMPARING FEEDBACK
o From looking back at the feedback I have picked up on the fact that our audience think that our
character connected well with the audience. I feel this was achieved through the variety of shots that we
used whilst filming. For example the close up allowed us to show the characters emotion in her eyes.
The mid-shots allowed us to show her whole facial expressions, whilst long shots showed her on her
own, looking lonely, which is the impression we wanted to create. One of our audience members
picked up on the fact we used a variety of shots throughout our music video. They also said that this
linked it to a professional music video as it is conventional to use a variety of different shots
throughout a music video.
o All audience members said they thought we had a good range of locations. Once again this is
conventional of a professional music video, therefore the fact that our audience picked up on this
shows that the locations complimented the genre well, and the locations were well represented
throughout the whole music video.
