Code is simply the tool to solve problems…

As you learn different programming languages, you start to learn which “tool” to use for which purpose…you can combine tools as well.

To make a mod in Minecraft, Java would be the language of choice

To develop iOS App (for Apple store), you can use a variety of “tools” – Swift, Objective-C and Xcode, a suite of software development tools

Magic happens here…Code + Creativity and Imagination = Invention and Innovation

Your Goal Today…Express your idea via Code

Start with What are you trying to solve? How might you solve it? Come up with at least (5) ideas

before narrowing to the (1)…Challenge yourself to come up with > 5 ideas

When you get to your one idea, ask yourself if it is bold?

The Best Hacker Team Looks like a small business…or a startup

Visionary – Future thinker, understands the problem Hacker(s) – Understands the problem and is an awesome

problem solver Hustler(s) – Scrappy…knows how to get things done for

free, for cheap Designer –Can visually express themselves via pictures

Each is important and valuable Each expresses their ideas differently

Don’t stop after this weekend The world needs your ideas and your ability to create
