ENERGOL HLP-Z Zinc-based Hydraulic Oils Description Energol HLP-Z is a range of mineral-base hydraulic oils conforming to the international classification ISO Type HM, having good low temperature characteristics and offering a wide choice of viscosities. The properties of their solvent-refined base oils are enhanced by full additive treatment to minimize oxidation and foaming, and to ensure long machinery life by reducing wear to a minimum and preventing corrosion. The oils are compatible with the seal materials in modern hydraulic systems. Main Benefits very low rates of wear, hence long life of hydraulic components. high chemical stability; resists breakdown of the oil, and thereby prevents deposition of sludge and lacquers in both the system and the reservoir; consequently there are fewer shutdowns for maintenance and long life for the hydraulic oil itself. filterability; no tendency to block fine filters when water contamination is present; hence trouble- free operation of hydraulic systems. Applications Energol HLP -Z oils are formulated for most hydraulic systems where good oxidation and anti-wear performance are required . They are also suitable for other duties in light loaded gear and for use as circulating oil applications where a rust and oxidation inhibitor oil is required. Energol HLP-Z oils meet or exceed the performance requirements of DIN 51 524 Part 2 Hydraulic Oils Type H-LP; Hagglunds Denison HF-2 ; Vickers I-286-S, M-2950-S. Service Precautions Follow equipment manufacturers' recommendations on filtration and oil change intervals. Wherever possible, filter oil into systems. Conversion Precautions Ensure that systems are thoroughly flushed prior to filling with Energol HLP-Z. If topping up onto another brand of oils ensure compatibility of oils and check condition periodically. ..2/

ENERGOL HLP-Z

Zinc-based Hydraulic Oils

Description Energol HLP-Z is a range of mineral-base hydraulic oils conforming to the international classification ISO Type HM, having good low temperature characteristics and offering a wide choice of viscosities. The properties of their solvent-refined base oils are enhanced by full additive treatment to minimize oxidation and foaming, and to ensure long machinery life by reducing wear to a minimum and preventing corrosion. The oils are compatible with the seal materials in modern hydraulic systems.

Main Benefits

• very low rates of wear, hence long life of hydraulic components. • high chemical stability; resists breakdown of the oil, and thereby prevents deposition of sludge

and lacquers in both the system and the reservoir; consequently there are fewer shutdowns for maintenance and long life for the hydraulic oil itself.

• filterability; no tendency to block fine filters when water contamination is present; hence trouble-free operation of hydraulic systems.

Service Precautions

Follow equipment manufacturers' recommendations on filtration and oil change intervals. Wherever possible, filter oil into systems.

Conversion Precautions Ensure that systems are thoroughly flushed prior to filling with Energol HLP-Z. If topping up onto another brand of oils ensure compatibility of oils and check condition periodically.

The above figures are typical of those obtained with normal production tolerances and do not constitute a specification. Packages: Non-returnable 18 litre pail and 209 litre drum.

Storage All packages should be stored under cover. Where outside storage of drums that would trap rainwater is unavoidable, they should be horizontal so as to avoid the possible ingress of water and the obliteration of drum markings. Products should not be stored above 60°C, exposed to hot sun or freezing conditions.

Health, Safety and Environment Health, safety and environmental information is provided for this product in the Material Safety Data Sheet. This gives details of potential hazards, precautions and First Aid measures, together with environmental effects and disposal of used products. The British Petroleum Company p.l.c. or its subsidiaries will not accept liability if the product is used other than in the manner or with the precautions or for the purpose/s specified. Before the product is used other than as directed, advice should be obtained from the local BP office.
