Home Automation gives you access to control
devices in your home from a mobile device anywhere
in the world.
Lighting, appliances, electrical outlets, heating and
cooling systems– are hooked up to a remotely
controllable network.
Provide improved convenience, comfort, energy,
efficiency and security.
There is an increasing demand for smart
homes, where appliances react
automatically to changing environmental
conditions and can be easily controlled
through one common device.
This project presents a possible solution
whereby the user controls devices by using
their existing mobile phone ,where control is
communicated to the Microcontroller from
a mobile phone through its Bluetooth
interface.

HC-05 is a Bluetooth Smart module targeted for low-power sensors and accessories.
It integrates all features required for a Bluetooth Smart application.
It is powered directly from a standard 3V coin cell battery or a voltage regulator.
In the lowest power sleep mode it merely consumes 500 nA and will wake up within a few hundred microseconds.
It is preferable to use Bluetooth because now a days people have their smart phones with them all the time, since the smart phones have Bluetooth facility in them, thus it's better to use Bluetooth rather than using RF remotes or IR remotes. Have you ever seen people carrying remotes???
Using Bluetooth has many of its own advantages :1.It's secure.2.Easy to use.3.It works in short distance range(i.e. upto 10mtrs.)4.Anyone can find free Bluetooth apps on android and many more.
A relay is an electrically
operated switch.
Relays are used where it is
necessary to control a
circuit by a low-power
signal.
Relays protect electrical
circuits from overload or
faults.
First Bluetooth module connected to the android phone by the Bluetooth.
Android phone already have a application to provide the interference between mobile and the Bluetooth module.
By using the application ,the mobile send the command signal to microcontroller by the Bluetooth.
Bluetooth and relay IC is connect to the microcontroller by its pins.
The relay is connected to the load by its pins.
When microcontroller receives the command from mobile ,it operate the load.
This wireless technology is especially useful in home environment, where there exists hardly any infrastructure to interconnect intelligent appliances.
It could be suitably used for home automation in a cost-effective manner. Operating over unlicensed, universally available frequency of 2.4 GHz, it can link digital devices within a range of 10 m (expandable to 100 m, by increasing the transmitted power) at the speed of 1 Mbps.
Building upon this theme; we propose a home automation system based on Bluetooth technology.
The overall system should be fast enough to realize the true power of wireless technology.
Yet there is an increasingdemand for smart homes, where appliances reactautomatically to changingenvironmental conditions andcan be easily controlledthrough one common device.
This wireless technology isespecially useful in homeenvironment, where there existshardly any infrastructure tointerconnect intelligentappliances.
The main advantage of “Home Automation

Smart Home.
Home Automation is undeniably a resource
which can make a home environment
automated. People can control their electrical
devices via these Home Automation devices and
set up controlling actions through Mobile.
In future this product may have high potential
