During outreach hours we’ve gone out to nearby neighbor hoods to give out information about the East Palo Alto Farmers Market and where is it located as well. Some of us leaders have gone out to let people know what’s at our farmers market. The things that we let our community know about our market are that we always accept their EBT/Food Stamps, WIC and Senior FMNP. If eligible to do so we’ll give you $5 to spend at the market. Also we let them know that participating in raffles will get them $5 extra to spend at the market plus a shopping bag to carry their fruits and veggies.

Our customers are one of a kind, always smiling, and happy to be at the Market. We love the amount of people that come out and shop and that support what we are trying to do and the things we are trying to change in our Community. We love to see our customers outside of the market too and the feedback is amazing. I love talking to the elders, they tell me little stories. I met this lady named Annie, that’s my grandmothers name also, and come to find out she knows both of my grandparents (what a small world). I also met a lady named Om, her name means Mom.
