International Foundation Programme is for graduates of Nigeria secondary schools, preparing students for an intensive academic year. The foundation programme is equivalent to A level, it has academic emphasis on the intended degree course. The core modules are linked into the curriculum of the exit degree, while general modules help students develop general skills in study strategies to succeed in a challenging British university environment, as well as the key computing and IT skills to be able to independently research and survive a rigorous higher education academic life.

Location The College is situated in the city of Yaba Lagos. Yaba is an educational city with federal university, polytechnic, federal colleges of education, a number of federal, state and missionary secondary schools. The College is 10 minutes to Ikoyi, 34 minutes to Ikeja and 17 minutes to Victoria Island.

Pastoral care and student support We have dedicated advisors and support staff whose responsibility it is, to look after the students, though the practice pervades our organization, as this is a core value for us.

Guardian & Counselling and Personal Tutors All students are allowed unfettered access to the counselors who guides and assists the students in making right career and life choices both relating directly with academics and beyond it.

HOSTELOur hostel features separate houses for males and females.They are designed with the needs of an undergraduate student in mind. The halls of residence are full board and catered. They come with 2 students sharing a room, common reading rooms controlled media living room and a dining.The hostel is home on its own standard. We provide resident chef, house matron/patron, cleaners and security.

LECTURE ROOMSLecture rooms are spacious and air conditioned with interactive whiteboard and strong lecturer-student relationship due to small class size (about 15 students per class).Laptops are provided to every student with a well-functioning 24hr wireless internet connectivity.

LABORATORIESWe have well equipped laboratories with world class standard facilities and attendants.LIBRARYApart from being a place of private study, the library is well equipped with a wide range of materials to aid students research, project work and in-depth study.

HEALTH CENTERThis is staffed by well trained and specialized medical practitioners and the students will have access to regular medical check-up and treatment.

SPORTWe develop the total man/woman by caring about their physician and wellbeing. Wednesday s are extra-curricular days and allow a time for the use of the following sports Football, basketball, Swimming, Tennis, Table tennis, Cheese, Dart and athletes.

INTERNSHIPThe college in a bid to produce highly successful graduates has developed an internship module to develop career related skills and knowledge to further aid the understanding of disciplines.

International Foundation Programme (IFP)The IFP starts twice in year January and September. Both starts prepare students for entry to first year of the degree in the UK, the following September.The programme is a degree specific course, teaching key skills necessary to undertake and succeed on a university degree course.Westerfield College foundation programme is at the same level and content as those taught in the United Kingdom.

Entry RequirementThere are varying entry requirement into our various programmes. However as a general guide students are expected to have 5 credits passes from WAEC/NECO/GSCE in English and four other subjects relevant to the intended degree. The English level of a potential student should be competence at credit in any above examination or IELTS 5.0 5.5
