THS Spanish Club Organizational Meeting

All students are invited to join the Spanish Club for Food, Fun, and Cultural Activities.

• The PSAT will be held on the morning of Wednesday, October 12, 2011. All students will be on a testing schedule so they will not have to worry about make-up work in classes that morning. All 10th graders will take the test for free and will be automatically registered for the test. Any 9th, 11th or 12th grader may take the PSAT for a fee of $20.

• 11th graders are highly encouraged to register so that they have the opportunity to

become eligible for a National Merit Scholarship next year. Registration will be

during all three lunches the week of Sept. 12- Sept. 16. 11th graders on Free and Reduced Lunch can take the test for $13. Please bring cash or make checks payable to the Travis High School Activity Fund. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your

counselor.

Travis Belles will begin selling

Chick-Fil-A sandwiches for $3 this Wednesday during

all lunches.

They will continue sales every other Wednesday

throughout the year.

Seniors!

Attention all seniors and senior parents – The deadline for having your senior portrait taken by Prestige Studio is now upon us.  If you do not have your senior portrait photographed by Prestige, your picture  WILL NOT appear in the senior class section of the 2012 Travis High School Stripes Yearbook.

Yearbook.  Please call Prestige Studios in Katy at 281-492-9361 between the hours of 12:30 to 6:30pm to schedule an appointment.  They will be able to work you in before the deadline has passed but you need to call this week. If you have already taken care of this – Thank you Very Much. And to all – have a Great Senior Year!!!!Thank You.

• You must be in at least one Ag Science class to be in the FFA.

Beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2011 you will

no longer be allowed to park without the purchase of a 2011-2012 Travis High School parking permit and

the permit needs to be affixed to the inside of the

windshield.

no longer be allowed to park without the purchase of a 2011-2012 Travis High School parking permit and

the permit needs to be affixed to the inside of the

windshield.

To receive a parking permit you will need a completed

parking permit application, proof of

insurance, a valid Texas Driver License, and thirty

five dollars in cash, cashier’s check, or money order. 

Personal checks will not be accepted.

Parking applications are located in the front office. Once you have the before

mentioned information, you will need to obtain Officer

Hall’s signature for approval. Any student found parking without a permit our in a

reserved senior spot will be subject to a fine.
