Teaching writing and vocabulary
Writing
Writing skills are an important part of communication. Good writing skills allow you to communicate your message with clarity and ease to a far larger audience, with out grammar mistakes and a correct pronunciation in the speech
Vocabulary:
Students should learn grammar rules, look at the vocabulary notes everyday and other necessary activities to develop the writing skills. Maybe if they get more familiarize with more vocabulary they will write easier and with more fluency because they know the vocabulary and apply it.
Writing process:Pre-writingIn this step students write just ideas of the
topic like a brainstorming, a list it doesn’t matter the order, grammar rules the structure of the paragraph. The key here are the ideas, students doesn’t have too much knowledge about the topic so they can support with the teacher.
Drafting:The middle step here students support the
ideas with different recourses like teacher, internet, books notes. In order to the ideas get clearly then reorder the structure of the paragraph but not the grammar rules this comes in the next slide.
Revising and editing
The last step like the name it say students check their paragraph and look the grammar rules, correct the mistakes and edit the last modifications like details in the aspect the structure all these ones for being a better writer , students can support with the others classmates or the teacher.
How can the teacher motivate the students for the writing activities
Children are visuals or kinesthetic most of them so the activities has to involve the four skills in order the activities get the attention from everybody. The activities has to be funny and meaningful you have to change of activity every 5-8 mins because maybe the child will get bored and this a big problem, they will get distracted and will do a different thing than yours.
Writing and vocabalary activities
Writing models, Group writing, Talking and Writing Box, Writing Center, spelling, stop game etc.
