Task 7 Evidence Task 7 part A For part A, I was tasked with making a sequence of sounds using only the fade function. I used a range of walking sounds, breaking glass, and firearms to create a scene in which a man has gone to a woman’s home in the night in the winter, has proceeded to lure her down the corridor to her door, then break down the door and shoot her. In a fit of amusement the man also laughs before burning the home down with a Molotov cocktail. Task 7 part B For part B, I was introduced to the Pan and Volume editors, and was tasked with editing a small group of clips to get used to the Pan and Volume editing. Task 7 part A

For part A, I was tasked with making a sequence of sounds using only the fade function. I used a range of walking sounds, breaking glass, and firearms to create a scene in which a man has gone to a woman’s home in the night in the winter, has proceeded to lure her down the corridor to her door, then break down the door and shoot her. In a fit of amusement the man also laughs before burning the home down with a Molotov cocktail.

Task 7 part B

For part B, I was introduced to the Pan and Volume editors, and was tasked with editing a small group of clips to get used to the Pan and Volume editing. The Pan function is used to change which speaker/direction a sound is played from, and the Volume function is used to make a sound quieter or louder. I used a “Horses galloping” clip, then edited it so it got louder then quieter, and so that it went from the left side of a sound projection hardware to the left. I made it get louder faster than it gets quieter to try and duplicate the doppleganger effect. I also added some “Cold wind” and made it travel fom left to right frequently and used a longer lasting doppleganger effect to make the wind feel all around but passing by.

Task 7 part C

For part C I was tasked with experimenting on sounds using the media properties window. I was told to use 4 of the same sounds: the first would stay unchanged, the second would have a pitch change, the third would have a rate change, and the fourth would have both a change in pitch and rate.

Task 7 part D

For part D I was introduced to the plugin effects, and was tasked with editing a single sound with them to get a feel for what the plugins did and how I could use them for a certain purpose. I tried 3 different plugins with varying effects, but settled on 2 of the plugins. I tried out the Ambience plugin, which is good for making ambient sounds out of existing assets; the BatteryAcid plugin, which is good for just warping and making a sound demented; and the Glitch plugin is an interesting one, but I didn’t utilize it fully, as I just randomized all of the boxes that could be randomized. Funnily enough however, I managed to change a sound with “Rain and thunder” to sound like a factory. I would show you the actual settings the plugins were using and which ones were active, but the usual PC I work on was having some issues, so for the time being, here is proof I fooled around with he 3 plugins.
