HA3 – Task 7

I started to create my mock up of my app by getting an image of an iPad and loading it up in Photoshop.

I then went on to put a blank orange rectangle that covered the screen so that I could had a blank shape that I could work on top of but so that i kept the shape and outline of the iPad to show that this is what my app would be available on iPad.

I then started to work on top of my blank iPad template. I started by choosing a ‘classic’ style font for the wording ‘365 Day One-A-Day Calendar. I chose this because I thought it may give my app presentation a touch of class or style.

I then put the words ‘Choose Your Own Theme’ just below the large title and chose an contrasting colour of font so that all the lettering stood out from the title. After this I then added an image of a traditional red and white calendar page, with the date November 6th on it. Just for an example of a calendar.

After I had added an image of the calendar and all the font on the blank page, I then decided to insert an image of a globe with flags on it to represent that you could choose the theme of countries or the world on the app. As well giving a subliminal message that it’s showing diversity and how the app will be available all over the world too.

After this I chose to add two images of musical notes to the app. This was again to show an example of themes you could choose on the app but also continue with the theme of class and style, as these images go with the title font.

After this I wanted to involve one more image of an example of the kinds of themes you could choose from on the app. So I decided to include an image of sports equipment. This was tricky as all the images where separate so I had to put each image together on Photoshop and arrange them correctly before I inserted them into my app.

I then added this single image of the sports equipment to the app presentation and therefore I believed that my presentation was complete. I then later went on to add a blue price ‘star’ to it also. This was because I felt that their was too much blank space on the right hand side of the presentation.
