> BANDE Á PART SCHOOL can override every course that not satisfies a minimum number of students.

> The student must respect the coexistence and respect rules of a normal educational activity. If a student disrupts the internal discipline, and the smooth running of classes and practices by a lack of respect for their companions, the faculty or the staff, he may be expelled from the School without any compensation. The repair of damage caused by improper and unauthorized use of the equipment, or the technical material and installations, has to be covered by the responsible of such damages.

> The equipments and installations of BANDE À PART SCHOOL can be used only by the students in practices or exercises programmed within the courses and the timetables established for this. The student has to return the materialin good condition, otherwise the cost of repairs due to negligence or misuse could result. > All courses are in Spanish.

> Students have to adapt to the timetables fixed by BANDE À PART to attend to classes, filming, recording, editing, professional visits, etc.

> Personal details of the students will be added, with confidentially and for educational purposes to the BANDE À PART computerized database of students, in accordance with the current legislation. You can rectify your personal details by notifying us. BANDE À PART does not commercialize his private database.

> Hereby, the student gives consent to BANDE À PART to record, capture, photograph, and use images where he appear, taken in any activity related to the course including practice, visits, etc.

> BANDE Á PART, as a producer of works realized within the academic program will be the exclusive owner of all rights, in every media, worldwide in all areas, and for the duration of their intellectual property rights. Nevertheless the student keeps all the rights, recognized by the law, attached to his authorship on the works which he participate.

> The cost of the course include a scholar insurance which cover the student whether inside the school or outside during the development of the practices.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

The amount of the registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances, unless the School suspend indefinitely the beginning of the course, in which case the received amounts will be returned. The registration is not transferable. The money deposited is non transferable to a third person.

Our Digital Film Workshop is aimed at young people, aged 13 to 18, wanting to learn to make their own �lms. Digital �lms and the latest editing and outreach technologies for �lms allow young people to approach the world of audiovisuals with tools that are familiar for them: Digital Cameras, Computers, Software for Image retouch and effects, Digital Audio recorders and others.

Cinema is an attractive means of expression for young people, a vehicle for transmitting their thoughts and worries.

Our SUMMER CINEMA course offers young people a �rst approach to a �lm’s creative process. From inception, to developing a screenplay, preparing the �lm, shooting, editing, post-production and promotion of the �lm.

The students will combine theoretical knowledge with practice and shooting in order to acquire, in a fun and attractive way, the knowledge and then apply their own talent to writing, recording and editing short �lms.

At present the audiovisual industry is booming and constantly requires technicians and creators ready to work using the latest technology. Screenwriters, Directors, Photographers, Camera Operators, Sound Technicians, Assistant Directors, Actors and Actresses, Image Editors, Sound Editors and others.

This course is aimed at young people with an early audiovisual vocation and those that want to approach this form of artistic expression.

* Each week a short �lm will be shot and the different stages will be supervised by the teachers.

* Different styles will be used (B/W, colour…), genres (Fantasy Films, Thrillers, Videoclips…) and shooting techniques (Stop Motion, Chroma Key…).

* The students will get to know the different �lm crews (Direction, Camera, Editing, Sound) and will familiarise themselves with team work and the internal discipline of a shooting.

* All the technical equipment, such as cameras, lighting equipment, computers, monitors, DVDs among others will be provided by the school.

* All activities will be supervised by our Teachers, �lm professionals with a wide teaching experience.

This workshop is designed for young people from 14 to 19 who have already made our Digital Cinema Workshop, or who already have experience in all matters relating to shootings. A new audiovisual era is coming and no better than young people to face the new media and techniques shooting.

They have ideas and technology to do it, and in Bande à Part we will teach the technique to make special effects, models, types of shots and the tricks of the �lms they like. It is the best course to reaf�rm how to make a professional short �lm with which take part in contests or how to make a small quality video to upload it to social networks and online channels (youtube, vimeo ...) Students will combine theoretical knowledge with practical shooting so that, in a pleasant and attractive way, can easily assimilate knowledge and apply their talents in writing, recording and editing short �lms.

The aim of this two-week course is the shooting of a short �lm with a professional camera and several short �lms with cell phones, which incorporates different elements:

- Stop Motion- Chromas- Mechanical Special Effects- Post-production Special effects - Underwater Camera- Drone Several sequences will be shot to be integrated in the short �lm and they will be supervised by teachers. Different styles (B / W, color ...), genres (Fantastic Film Thriller, VideoClips ...) and �lming techniques (Stop Motion, Chroma, Underwater Filming, Shooting Air) will be learnt. Students will learn about different �lmmaking teams (Director, Camera, Editing, Sound...) and they will get in to teamwork and internal discipline of a shooting. All technical equipment: cameras, lighting material, computers, monitors, DVD, etc. are provided by the school, except for the Shooting with the Smartphone Camera in which each student will shoot with his own phone. Bande à Part’s Short Film-Making Workshop is aimed at all those that, with no prior knowledge of cinema, want to learn to make their own �lms. People with an audiovisual vocation interested in making a start in short �lm-making and all those who want to approach cinema as a form of artistic expression.

The Short Film-Making Workshop offers a �rst approach to the process of creating a short �lm. From inception, to developing a screenplay, preparing the �lm, shooting, editing, post-production and promotion of the short �lm.

The students will combine theoretical knowledge with practice and shooting in order to acquire, in a fun and attractive way, the knowledge and then apply their own talent to writing, recording and editing short �lms.

At present the audiovisual industry is booming and constantly requires technicians and creators ready to work using the latest technology. Screenwriters, Directors, Photographers, Camera Operators, Sound Technicians, Assistant Directors, Actors and Actresses, Image Editors, Sound Editors and others.

The students will get to know the different �lm crews (Direction, Camera, Editing, Sound) and will familiarise themselves with team-work and the internal discipline of a shooting. All the technical equipment, such as cameras, lighting equipment, computers, monitors, DVDs among others will be provided by the school.

Bande à Part’s Short Film-Making Workshop is aimed at all those that, with no prior knowledge of cinema, want to learn to make their own �lms. People with an audiovisual vocation interested in making a start in short �lm-making and all those who want to approach cinema as a form of artistic expression.

Evaluating the acoustics of the space where shooting will take place, analysing the typology of voice for each actor and actress, deciding the technical equipment to use and writing the sound report for editing among others.

You will experience the step by step recording of live sound for a �lm or TV series and you will learn the theory through real shooting situations.

Each session will set out a different shooting situation: indoors, outdoors, following the cast, play-back, wireless microphones, etc so that the students can practice with professional equipment the recording of live sound in sequences with different levels of dif�culty and different problems in relation to live sound.

The workshop will be delivered by Natxo Ortúzar, Main Teacher of the Sound Department at Bande à Part, Live Sound Technician for �lms and TV series.

All technical equipment will be provided by Bande à Part Film School.

The work of Director Assistant, is very imporant in the audiovisual

production: considered the �lming boss, his work begins long

before the �rst foreground. When the screenplay falls into his

hands, the Director Assistant organizes the work of equipment,

convenes meetings, an sets the preproduction calendar, and the

shooting schedule. He works closely with the director of the �lm,

and the production team, coordinating as a link between both

departments. He is familiar with the cinematographic language

and �lm planning. He has a profound knowledge of the work of

each �lm technicians, and control the execution time of each task.

If you are interested in this job, and if you want to dedicate

Bande à Part’s After Effects Intensive Seminar is aimed at students with prior knowledge of digital editing who want to get to know the After Effects software, which allows image retouch, creation of audiovisual effects, animation and work in 3D.

The Seminar will take place in the Grif�th Editing Room, which contains 16 workplaces allowing students to carry out the practical exercises with all the necessary software for digital treatment of image and sound. Bande à Part’s Film Lighting and Photography Workshop offers a �rst approach to the basics of light in cinema and to the practical work of photography in �lm shootings. You will learn the basic theoretical notions and you will enter the dynamics of the �lm photography team through the indoor and outdoor shooting exercises.

This workshop is aimed at students interested in acquiring the basic �lm photography and lighting knowledge, since no prior knowledge is necessary. Students of Photography, Film Direction, Editing, Art Direction, Production, Fine Arts or any other artistic discipline in need of basic notions about photography in cinema and the tools used to illuminate shots.

Participants of the workshop will have the necessary technical equipment made available to them by Bande à Part: Cameras, Accessories, Lighting Equipment, light meters, temperature and colour meters, exercise viewing equipment, iMac computers for the download and colour grading of the proofs… Last but not least, the necessary facilities for carrying out the workshop: �lm set, rooms, editing rooms, editing boxes, etc.

Participants of the workshop will be able to join Bande à Part’s shootings in HD and in 35 mm as members of the photography teams in different roles.

The Bande à Part color correction and grading with Davinci Resolve course is aimed to all those who want to know the Davinci Resolve software, which permits lights, colour and texture manipulations on images of cinematographic projects in digital format and Professional HD.

The training will take place in our editing room, furnished with 16 workstations that allow students to realize the practical classes of every application used on the digital image processing.

Students of the Davinci Resolve training will be able to participate on the colourist team of the projects shot at Bande à Part.

After studying FP Image and Sound, he combined his studies in History of Arts at the Universidad Central of Barcelona, with his advanced preparation in Cinematographic Techniques.

He has been working as editor of many full-length movies (“Pactar con el gato” by Joan Morimón and “El caso de la novia dividida” by Joan Morimón…) and has been nominate as best editor at the Premis Ciutat de Barcelona 2007.
