About EPCA• The European Petrochemical Association

• Founded in 1967, based in Brussels, Belgium

• Non-profit organization

• Quality network in Europe for the global chemical business community (chemical producers, their suppliers, customers and service providers)

• Platform to meet, exchange information and transfer learning

• Serves as a think tank for its members andstakeholders

• Promotes STEM education and Talent, Diversity & Inclusion

About EPCAOrganisation - Advisory Bodies to the Board of Directors

Supply Chain Program Committee (SCPC)

• The SCPC comprises experts in chemical supply chains, assists in the organization of supply chain workshops, seminars and think tanks as well as supply chain activities at the Annual Meetings. It also proposes to the Board chemical supply chain projects of interest to the industry.

Talent and Diversity Inclusion Council (TDIC)

• Established in June 2015, TDIC’s role is to support and oversee EPCA diversity activities to the benefit of the chemical business community. The TDIC develops and promotes diversity inclusion best practices from within and outside the chemical business community in the EPCA membership base and the general public.

Young EPCA Think Tank (YETT)

• The YETT is mandated by the EPCA Board to support education (STEM) and communication projects in their respective organisations. The YETT challenges EPCA’s activities and strategy, and assists in the selection of themes for meetings and workshops as well as new topics or activities.

Film 2015 – “Petro & Chemistry: Partnership for a Better Life”

• Shows the connection between the petrochemical industry and crude oil. It also shows the importance of people with a STEM background in the value chain and underscores the innovative, multi-disciplinary and cooperative approaches of the chemical industry

• Launched at the Berlin mini-MARATHON (September 26th, 2015) before the 49th EPCA Annual Meeting

• Distributed in the schools through our education partners networks

• Additional education tool requested by teachers during workshops and summer schools organized by European Schoolnet and attended by EPCA

• Used by EPCA member companies in their education initiatives

• Target audiences : aged 10 to a18, their teachers and parents

Film 2013 – “Science: Where Can It Take You?”

This film encourages STEM education as a means to build a career in or for the chemical industry.Guidelines have been developed for science teachers with European Schoolnet to make STEM education more practical and attractive.Also highlights diversity & gender inclusion as well as supply chain and logistics

Film 2011 – “Chemistry: All About You”

This film shows that chemicals are everywhere while at the same time creating positive feelings about these products.After all, chemicals make our daily lives better by responding to the global population’s increasing and changing needs.Also highlights diversity & gender inclusion as well as supply chain and logistics
