What are Spices?• Spices are roots, seeds, bark or leaves of plants

that we use in powdered form in our food.

Why do we use Spices in our food?

1. We use spices to add flavour to our food. For example, oregano, coriander, chilli, etc.2. Also, some spices are used as medicines. For example, black pepper, ginger, clove, etc.
