The glasses company

We are selling glasses.

• Glasses help people see , whether they are long or short sighted.

• It’s unique selling point is that we are offering a free eye test so if people find out they can’t see, they can buy glasses from us!

Specsavers was founded in 1984

• The group was launched in 1984 by husband and wife team Doug Perkins and Mary Perkins on the island of Guernsey in the English Channel and at the end of 2007 the group had over 1,390 stores with 26,000 employees.

Target Audience

• We hope to aim our product at people who don’t usually have the time to test their eyes.

• We’re aiming our advert at C2DE social class as they tend to have busier lives and therefore won’t have the chance to test their eyes.

• Also they would want it for free

You should have gone to Specsavers…

• There most recent campaign was to show people getting themselves into an odd situation. For example they had an elderly couple sitting on a roller coaster because they thought it was a bench.

COMPETITION

• Vision Express• Boots• Local opticians, as they have the advantage

of being the friendly locals rather than the big company

Our Advert Idea

• We are going to set up a situation where person A will would be struggling to see as they have yet to go to the opticians. Our saleswoman will jump out and inform person A about specsavers deals.

• We will enhance this advert by incorporating the hard sell techniques.

• Our slogan will be “HD glasses for a HD life”
