Results from my questionnaire

What is your gender?

From this I have learnt that the gender of my target audience is a mixture of both male and female.

What is your age?For age I have learnt that the majority of my target audience are between 0 to 18, like I predicted. However that is not to say that older age groups will not like my given genre.

What are your preferred genres of film?

When asked to selected which genres they preferred to watch, the results show that horror was a landslide with 75% of voters voting for it. However Action/Adventure and comedy also did well with 50% each.

What are your favourite sub-genres of horror?

I decided to dive deeper in to the horror genre and asked the candidates to select their preferred sub-genres. Most preferred Psychological horror over anything else with 75% of the votes however, action, comedy, Sci-Fi and Zombie all gathered several votes.

What is your preferred location for a zombie film?

As by this point in time I had already came up with an idea for my project I have decided to elaborate on this and discover what the target audience wanted from a zombie film. When asked on location an Abandoned area got 50% of votes and a Large Building got 37.50%.

Do you prefer you character to be alone or in a group?

When asked whether they preferred the protagonist to be in a group or alone they responded with being in a group with 75%.

How do you prefer your Zombies to move?

Zombies are known to move at different speeds thanks to 28 days later changing this involving the fast running zombie into the mix, the results showed that the target audience preferred George A Romero’s take on zombies movement.

What sort of backstory do you prefer?

When I researched further I discovered that zombies can come across in three ways, either with magic, returning from the dead or via a pandemic/ infection. When asked the target population quite clearly preferred to have the zombies through infection.

What are you favourite Zombie films?

I then asked the audience which zombie films are their favourites to get ideas and inspirations for my own, the most common results were Shaun of the Dead, World War Z and Zombieland.
