Starter• Summarise what we learned last lesson about gender
representation.
Exam Question• In the exam, you will get an unseen Action Adventure clip.
Questions 1 and 2 will ask you to explore the codes and conventions and technical aspects of the clip, but question three will ask you to explore representation.

When exploring representation, we need to comment on the choices that have been made about:
• Make-up/hair;• Costume;• Props;• Body language/actions;• Dialogue?
• Does the representation reinforce or challenge stereotypes?

• Watch the clip through. For the first viewing, don’t make any notes but as you’re watching, consider carefully what we looked at last lesson – do the characters fit the AA male and female stereotypes?
