Fish can't live on land. They don't have legs so they can't walk. They must swim. They need to be in the water. Some fish live in fresh water. They live in lakes or rivers. Other fish live in salt water. You'll find them in the sea. Fish look different. They come in all shapes and sizes. They come in all colours. They are the same because all fish live in water. We can't breathe under water. It's hard to imagine the life of a fish.

The African elephant is very big! It is the biggest land animal on Earth. It is also one of the smartest land animals. The elephant has a long trunk and two white tusks.Elephants live in Africa and can live for up to 60 years of age. They love to eat and drink. In fact, elephants spend half of the day eating. Their favourite foods are grass, twigs, and fruit.

- Ask literal questions, using who, what and where

- When going beyond literal questions, encourage your child to use 'because'

- Encourage your child to read non-fiction & fiction
