Happy Valentine’s Month from your

AP’s!

You may not always equate love with

your assistant principals, but we abso-

lutely love our Reading Junior High Stu-

dents! We wanted to take the time in

February to express how much we ap-

preciate our students, parents and facul-

ty members- our Reading Family. Read-

ing Junior High recently was the hosting

site for a regional UIL event and we could

not have been more proud of our com-

peting students. What a great group of

kids!

As we move forward with the second

semester, students and parents have

been meeting with administrators and

counselors to complete course selections

for next school year. Yes, it is that time

already! This is definitely our fast-paced

time in the school year when we work

towards a successful ending of this year

and look forward our next one. Please

make sure you complete your course

selection and turn it back in to your advi-

sory teacher. There are many great elec-

tives- you choose the one that best

meets your goals for YOUR future!

We will continue our quest to be a “No

Place for Hate” school and have several

activities planned for this month that

encourages respect for self and others.

We had a “mix it up” lunch where you

had the opportunity to get to know stu-

dents who share the same birthday

month as yours. The AP’s “mixed it up”

along with you. You may have been sur-

prised to learn which AP with whom YOU

share a common birthday.

Being “balanced” may be important to

you if you share a birthday month with

one of your AP’s… Guess who he/she was

and which month is his/her birthday

month.

BIG Valentine High Five from your AP’s!

How Do You Feel About Teenage Love ?

Joy For Julia <3

Julia is a cheerful, well liked senior at George Ranch High School in Richmond, TX. Since

childhood, Julia has always participated in active sports and artistic ventures. She is Head

Cheerleader of the Varsity squad, a competitive cheerleader at Apex Cheer, and a member

of Life Team ministries at her church. She has been described as a mentor to others by her

peers and school faculty. Her goal is to attend UTSA to become a pediatric nurse because

she loves helping others and adores children.

Julia and her family recently and unexpectedly received the devastating news that she was

diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, which is a rare and aggressive cancer located

in the back of her nasal cavity. Although not operable, the doctors feel positive that it can

be cured through radiation and chemotherapy. We are asking for your prayers and good

wishes to lesson some of the emotional burden. Through fundraising we hope to alleviate some of the financial

strain on her family that her insurance will not cover.

Despite her diagnosis, Julia’s positive attitude and bright smile continue to be part of her fun-loving and joyful

personality.

We thank you in advance for all of your love and support and Julia truly ap-

preciates your generosity and well wishes.

Dear Beau,

There is a girl that I like and she doesn’t know I exist. I

bought her a gift for Valentine’s Day, but she didn’t know it

was from me. How can I reveal myself to her?

From,

Scared Secret Crush

Dear Scared Secret Crush,

You don’t have to be scared, just tell her your feelings. If you

don’t take the chance, you’ll never know. If it doesn’t work

out, there are more fish in the sea.

Love, Beau

Dear Beau,

I have been going out with this guy for a month now, but I

really don’t like him anymore. What should I do? He bought

me a great Valentine’s gift and I will feel bad if I break up with

him now. What should I do?

From,

Over Him

Dear Over Him,

If you really don't like him, tell him how you feel and break

up with him. The longer you take, the harder it will be. Also,

the right thing would be to give him the gift back.

Love, Beau
