What is Computer? An electronic device that, stores,
retrieves & processes data, & can be programmed with instructions. A computer is composed of hardware & software & can exist in a variety of sizes & configuration.

Personal Computers Cheap & very easy to use. Often
used as standalone computers or in a network. May be connected to large mainframe computers within big companies.
What is Input Devices? Whatever goes into the computer.
Input can take a variety of forms, from commands you enter from the keyboard to data from another such as a keyboard or mouse, is called an Input Device.
What is Output Device? Something (such as power, energy
or information) that is produced by a machine or system.
What do you mean by RAM?
RAM (random access memory) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, & data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computer’s processor.
What is Hardware? The term hardware refers to the
Physical components of your computer such as the system unit, mouse, keyboard, monitor etc.
What do you mean by ROM? ROM (read only memory) is memory
instructions that the computer uses when it boots up, before the system software loads.
What is Software? The Software is the instructions that
makes the computer work. Software is held either on your computer hard disk, CD-ROM, DVD or on a diskette (floppy disk) & is loaded (i.e., copied) from the disk into the computers RAM (Random Access Memory), as and when required.
