Definition
dministration, also referred to as business administration, is Athe management of an office, business, or organisation. It involves the efficient organisation of people, information, and other resources to achieve organisational objectives.
nformation is key to business operations, and people are Ithe resources who make use of information to add value to an organisation. This means that companies will struggle without some type of administration
ot a question on what administration is. Tried Gto google, found no comprehensible answer. As usual, when you need a definition, there is none to find. Did it myself. Here is the result.
What is Administration?
The basic and
important aspects of administration are called as
the principles.
These are the points that
have to be remembered to make sure that the
administration is able to work properly.
They are all similar in all
places and may change with time, but even the
changes will be universal.
These principles of
administration are universal.
Principles of Administration
There is a hierarchy in every administration. This may change from place to place and organization to organization, but the basic principle of hierarchy remains the same.
Usually the hierarchy is in the shape of a pyramid with the leader of the organization or the head is at the top and the support staff on the lower part
They are also guidelines that help the administrators to follow and help in simplifying the process of administration.
Hierarchy
Unity of command
Each employee should be answerable to only one person. If
there are two different people who a person needs to answer,
then there will be confusion and the employee will not
be able to work to the maximum of his
Deleg
ation of
authority: Here the head of the organization
divides the authority to various heads in the organization. This makes more people accountable and also helps
the management of the organization easier.
ControlThe decision making and
various controls are made usually by the various heads
of the departments in an organization that has many
departments.

Effective Administration
Effective administration
means that each department, agency, local
authority, or other public body
exercises its powers in
accordance with the purposes and standards defined
by law in an economical and efficient way
The law specifies the powers conferred on
each authority and sets the parameters
within which they should be used. This image of administrative
government is of course not the
only one that might be
envisaged, but it is the only one compatible with
a commitment to the rule of law.
Principles Shaping Administration
Those additional principles are provided by administrative law and procedure and should include
such matters as openness in the conduct of
administration, participation in the process by those whose rights and interests are at stake, impartiality on the part of the administrators, the specification of
the criteria of decision-making, a reasoned decision, and the disclosure of the reasons
